Where are you gonna fly from?
I live in Mobile, Al. We will fly from Pensacola.
Thats where by son is going to A school at. Pensacola.
We will have to meet at PIR, My husband and I will have to cook for him when he gets liberty. My son will go to A school in CT.
Did you recieve anything from your son yet? I recieved my form letter today.
Our son left May 23rd, and will be graduating on july 23rd as well. He's in Ship 13, Div 247. We didn't recieve his form letter until tuesday the 1st. It felt like an eternity. We still haven't recieved his box yet. Now it will probably feel like forever waiting for the first real letter we get from him. I'm his dad and I was in the Navy as well. Bootcamp was 26 years ago for me. I thought nothing of him going through boot camp, but now that he's there and we haven't heard from him at all these past couple weeks, other than the paragraph he wrote on his form letter, I find it's taking it's toll on me. I did my best trying to prepare him for the things he'll experiance while there, but I'll rest a lot easier after we get a real letter and see how he's really doing. Our son will also be headding out to CT. after bootcamp, off to sub school in Groton.
My son left on May 26th and is in Ship 10, Div 249. We recieved his box but nothing else yet. He will also be heading out to CT for A school. Looking forward to getting his PIR date and his first letter.
