jareed- my son is also in ship 10 div 249. I received his box but no form lettter yet with the grad date. Did you get the form letter? Looking forward to getting the letter so we can make travel plans..
Yes we got the letter Saturday. The graduation is July 23rd. In the form letter he also got to write a few sentences which was great to hear. He actually said he was having so much fun!!! By the way my name is JoAnn.
JoAnn, That is great news! Hopefully I will get the letter today and hear that he is having fun as well. Where will your son be going to A school? My son will be in CT. - Great to hear from you. I had not heard of anyone else in the same Ship/DIV yet. I was thinking I received the wrong information until I heard from you.
Thanks- Kris
My son will be going to school A school in Great Lakes (different part of the base) for 17 weeks and then we are hoping he can come home for at least a few days. I am so happy to hear from someone else in this ship/division too. There is a hotel 1 mile from base call Red Carpet Inn. Not the fanciest but it is the closest we could find that had opening.
We got the form letter yesterday with his 4 lines. It was great to hear from him even though it did not give a lot of details and asking us to write often which we already have. He said "they are starting mail at the end of this week" The only indication of how things are going was. "all is well" We made our hotel reservations last night at the Marriott Courtyard. Hotels are filling up fast. Will make our flight arrangements tonight.
My son is in the sameShip/Div :) This is a great site to help us all get thru the long weeks!
