If you have a recruit in this division please let me know. I know that all of us who have someone graduating on 06/11 have to stick together. But it is so nice to know the family and friends of the men my husband is spending all of his time with. Also, I thought we could send letter or cards to each others recruits to add a little variety to their letters. Please let me know what you think!

I know my husband would be so thankful to know that I am getting so much support from his classmate's families. I look forward to talking to everyone on here and learing more. I can not wait until the meet and greet to be able to put a name with a face.

Good luck Navy Ship 11 Div 212!!!

I can't believe we are in our final few days before we get to see our recruits-soon-to-be-sailors! This time has really been one of learning patience, but also of finding some really great new friends on N4M!! Thank you all for being willing to be on here and sharing what you have learned. It has been such a lifeline to have! My son sent a letter to my older son last week and mostly said how much he missed everyone, but he did say that he already has learned he will graduate from A school on Sept 29th-he is going to be a corpsment and A school for him will be at Great Lakes. So he will be relatively close to us all summer, which will be nice and I am going to cherish any time we get to spend with him until Sept 29th!

Just wanted to let everyone know a weather update-looks like the temps will be in the low to mid 80s during the day and in the 60-70 range at night. They are calling for some possible T Storms over the weekend, but it sounds like those could be hit and miss. So be sure to pack some kind of light rain jacket. Downstate here at home it is beautiful today in the lower 80's with low humidity, which is a relief from what we have had the last two weeks. Don't know if this helps for packing or not, but at least you will have an idea of what to expect.

I hope everyone has safe travels that work out as they planned. Can't wait for the Meet n Greet on Thursday-woo hoo!!
Hey ladies. I wanted to let you know that I got a letter today and he said they can send out mail on Tues and Thurs for the next 2 weeks, he's there until the 26th.

Cindy, he said him and Travis are pretty tight, I think that's pretty cool. Out of 80 guys in the group, we happen to chat on here.

He said his next phone call will be the 9th, and its the day after battlestations and said it would be longer and might get more than one call. He was gonna call his girlfriend first, I'll be upset a little if he can't call me too. I think it should be the other way around, mamma first! lol

Some of you are saying that they've told you how much they have gained or lost, he hasn't said anything about it, maybe he wants to really shock me. He went in at about 165lbs at 5'9''. This last letter he said he was doing 102 pushups in 2 min(he was doing 45 in 2 min before he went in)....I think maybe he may have a little bit of change in his appearance! lol

I have written a letter everyday and some days he says he doesn't get any which made me wonder, then he said there is a Bryan with the same last name in a diff div and Tynan gets his mail but sends it back to the PO, I wonder if Ty's mail was going to him. He did say he got 14 letters, mostly from me on June 1, so maybe....?

Also, he mentioned that being Active Military you get a lower interest rate for any loans and such at the bank, so if they have loans, check with your bank on it. A penny saved is a penny earned.

Ok, blah blahed long enough, just very excited!

I got a letter from my son today. He says that the time there went by like a flash. Glad to hear that! He purchased his photo package - says it was $140. I cant wait to see those pictures. I had asked him where he will be when they line up so I could spot him. He says the graduation will be completely random, but he will have 2 stripes on his sleeves which means he ranked up.

He also says he is looking forward to being able to talk on the phone whenever he wants. Ha ha. He is heading to sub school in Connecticut after graduation.

Take care everyone
Ladies~ It looks like other ladies have picked colors to wear for the meet and greet so they can spot each other. Do we want to do that? What about white? I know everyone has some kind of white shirt. Were you guys planning on dressing up for the M&G? I was thinking jean capris and a white "Navy Wife" shirt. I wanted to be comfy since we're going up and moving around. Are yall going to eat dinner there also? I think we are, I thought it would be easiest. I am getting so stinking excited I can not even contain myself!!!!!!!!! We're leaving tomorrow night at 10pm
Yes, just a few days now. It flew by for them but it creeped by for us, right? I can't wait to me you all, my new Navy family. God Bless and SEE YOU SOON!
Here we go!!! Starting the final list to finish packing, got boarding passes done. I am so excited. I miss my boy. Somehow I don't think I will see him ever again because I will see my son for the first time as an accomplished young man. That boy may peek out from within his eyes but I expect that he will be fully transformed into the best Collin he can be. As I sit here typing the tears are rolling down. This has been such a test of my patience and the actual realization that he is in the NAVY. I can't wait for "the call" to come. I wonder how he and his ship mates are feeling now. I was told by a Sailor that is in reserves right now that on Battle Station Day they get up regular time and do their normal routines, then around 8pm they start Battle Stations and go for 12 hours, then in the morning they go right back into their normal day and are not allowed to sleep until tonight. I can't wait to meet you all tomorrow evening. May God keep you safe on your journeys to Great Lakes. FAIR WINDS AND FOLLOWING SEAS MY SON!!!
battlestations over calls should be coming soon! however i got a call from josh and the nurse wouldnt release him from siq to do it so he is getting held back until next week. were 3 hrs out side of gl. what a bummer! if yall need anything feel free to text or email me 8178803528. i sorry it didnt work out for us to meet!
Destinye I am so sorry. I'm sitting here at my desk crying for you and everyone is stopping to ask what is wrong. Hang in there sweets and Josh too! I was really looking forward to meeting you - let's not let this be the end to our new friendship. You also let me know if I can do anything.
Kelly it will not be! We have all be come friends and i will carry that through our navy years. Yall have all been great!
D -- so, so, sorry about this, but he will pass once he's feeling better. Just sucks it's not this week. Hang in there and definitely keep in touch. We're in it together.~Abbe
