If you have a recruit in this division please let me know. I know that all of us who have someone graduating on 06/11 have to stick together. But it is so nice to know the family and friends of the men my husband is spending all of his time with. Also, I thought we could send letter or cards to each others recruits to add a little variety to their letters. Please let me know what you think!

I know my husband would be so thankful to know that I am getting so much support from his classmate's families. I look forward to talking to everyone on here and learing more. I can not wait until the meet and greet to be able to put a name with a face.

Good luck Navy Ship 11 Div 212!!!

Cindy, the video is awesome, thank you for sharing it with all of us. I must say while watching the video stream i got all teared up again!! It was a great weekend and PIR was everything I expected and more. The Meet N Greet at the Ramada was great, I got to meet alot of you wonderful NAVY MOMS and families. I would also like to say what a Beautiful Naval Base in Great Lakes. I don't know if I would ever venture into Chicago by car again (traffic was crazy, no where to park and even all the garages were full). Our new Sailor was very concious of the TIME and I think this made him a little nervous about site seeing down town. I recommend taking the train then the bus into the city. All the time we pined away on this site with each other and it seems that once they graduated on Friday the time just flew by. I am sitting here now thinking about when I will see my boy again (feeling a little down). It is most likely a lack of sleep, when we got to the airport flight was delayed and we never rolled in till 2:00 a.m. One great thing is that once we get the cell phones to our Sailors they can make calls to us. I just would like to tell everyone on here that it has been a pleasure to ride the waves of the Navy with you all! I hope we all stay in contact somehow!

HOOOOOOOO-RAAAAAAAH !!!!!!! Bren
Hello all ... I tried replying to this from my iPhone on Monday ... no such luck. Finally back online to a real computer. I had a wonderful weekend. Glad to have met some of you face to face. So happy to have participated in this wonderful event ... a memory of a lifetime. My boy has transformed into such a wonderful way. We enjoyed every possible second with him over the weekend. He's in South Carolina now. Not sure when I will see him next! ~Abbe
Cindy the pictures and the video are great... the link works perfectly. our visit with Nathan was GREAT.. although he ended up with duty Sunday (day we were going to have a BBQ at my sisters) from 1200-1600 sprung up on him Sat. got to see him couple hours in the am and one in the pm. It was incredible to see him, and meet many of his shipmates all wonderful young MEN. now we are back to missing him. Thank you to all Brenda my prayers are with Josh everyday. tell him Nathan is waiting for him in A school. My best to all!!!
I should be getting my Sailor call sometime today or tomorrow. Josh called on Sunday to tell me he was going to do his last PFA on Monday and BS Monday night or Tuesday morning. As soon as I hear, I will let you ladies know! I'm so excited!!!!
Destinye, I'm so happy you'll finally get to hear those words. We missed you at the meet n greet but you should make sure to get there this Thursday, it is really nice what the Ramada does for the Navy Families. The only thing we could not do was put down the table clothes. They have it in the lounge and all the tables are sm. round tables (bar table) but Michelle brought a huge spray of balloons and we had the banner up. Make sure you go it was a nice time. I won't spoil the graduation ceremony for you, except it is everything you expect and more! I was at work today and got a call at 1:30 pm, Kyle said he made to Pensacola Fla., but they couldn't get on base because President Obama was there. Also, if you want to go into Chicago for anything take the train and a connecting bus, traffic is crazy and every lot to park in was full. We would have had to park miles away and walk in. The Ramada was wonderful anything we wanted to know they were very accomadating. You can get directions to places from them and the train schedules. I will put some pictures on soon but I have to have my hubby do it for me. I hope you get lucky and have Josh all of Liberty. We had Kyle everyday and it was wonderful but Dropping him off was hard(cried half way to airport). He was different (in a Navy way) but my son still shined through and they carry themselves very tall and proud. You'll See!!

I wish the best to you and Josh (U.S.Sailor) and a safe trip, to and from GL. Sincerely, Brenda
Hi Bren,
Collin started his phones calls to me today at 5:15am est. The last one was at 9:45 pm est. The barracks they were supposed to be in had filled up and they were some place temporary. They did get to walk around. He said it reminded him of a college campus. He hopes that he and Kyle will be roomates. How cool is that? I think they were tired and just wanted a spot to call their own. Tomorrow is another day. This past weekend was wonderful. The meet and greet was great.
Tawk to ya soon. Seeya
Donna
Hey Donna,
How cool is that! I talked to Kyle several times on tues. and he sounded really tired but I think he just wants to have a place that they can call there own.He really wants to give an address so we can start shipping all the NECESSITIES!(Labtop, cell, IPOD etc.) My husband brought home postal boxes already today. He also said it was really hot down there, and that everyone seems to be a little bit laid back. (there not use to that) I wonder if they will get to call again to let us know that they have a room and I hope they can room together. Why not? at least they know that they get along (don't they ask you all that when your going away to college) it would make life a little more easy. TTYL Bren
This is great ... thanks for sharing.~Abbe
Destinye - I'm so glad that you are going to be able to see Josh this weekend. I would have to agree with everything Brenda said. Graduation was such an amazing day. Every seat in the building was good. I would recommend getting there early so you don't have to crawl over people to get a seat. Even though we rented a car we took the shuttle to the ceremony and I would do that again. We had no issues with either getting there or leaving. Even if you take the shuttle you are going to want to print out the parking pass for the remaining days that you arrive on base to pick up Josh. Some of the guards let me through without but some asked to see it. We did take the train into Chicago and I would recommend doing that and not trying to drive yourself. It is about an hours ride but you are so busy looking at all the towns you're going through that the time really goes fast. I would recommend taking an umbrella. It rained every day we were there. The meet and greet was fun and it was so nice to meet the girls we've been getting to know here at N4Ms. It was interesting how we kept seeing each other all over the place. The Ramada really did a great job for us. Their restaurant was a little pricey but I think everything was higher there in general. The rooms were clean and the service was good. I didn't see any huge difference in Kelly - like Brenda said - the same kid was still in there. He was a little heavier in the face but he was still my guy. I had a much harder time letting him go this time than I did the first time. I cried when we said goodbye, I cried on the way to the airport, cried again while we were checking our bags and then again when the plane took off. I don't know what made it harder but I really struggled. I heard from him today and he was in Dallas awaiting a connection to Mississippi. Let us know how everything goes - we'll look forward to hearing! I've posted some pictures too - I wish I would have taken more!
Uuuuggggg I still haven't heard from Josh!!!! The no news is good news saying was thrown out the window last week! When I talked to him on Sunday he said I'd get a call yesterday. I'm dying here! My flight's scheduled for tomorrow morning at 7am. I don't even know what group he did BS with to see if they've started calling. I swear I've gained 6 pounds this week from stress eating. Thanks for letting me vent! I miss my husband so much and I want to see him so badly, please God!
Hang in there. I'm not sure what advice to give you. I know it's nerve wracking to schedule a flight and not be 100% sure that you need to be on it. I would probably check the group PIR 6/18. I would imagine that is who he did BS with.
Kelly, How wonderful to meet your family(some of them). It was a nice time at M&G we talked like we knew each other forever. A nice bunch of ladies and men. When we were waiting for Kyle after PIR he came walking up with your son, I said you are Kelly! He looks exactly like his mom. Kyle said how do you know him? Then He said "Oh N4Ms". Kyle really likes Kelly, some stories he told and especially that he can go out his back door and hunt on his own property! He hopes to meet up with Kelly in the future. Didn't you find it strange that they still called each other by there last names? I don't know if Kelly mentioned it but On Monday (Flag Day) All the Sailors at GL made a human flag. Kyle said it hadn't been done since sometime in the 70's. I am going to see if it is on You Tube. I hope you'll stay in touch it will be neat to follow there careers! Sincerely, Bren
