If you have a recruit in this division please let me know. I know that all of us who have someone graduating on 06/11 have to stick together. But it is so nice to know the family and friends of the men my husband is spending all of his time with. Also, I thought we could send letter or cards to each others recruits to add a little variety to their letters. Please let me know what you think!

I know my husband would be so thankful to know that I am getting so much support from his classmate's families. I look forward to talking to everyone on here and learing more. I can not wait until the meet and greet to be able to put a name with a face.

Good luck Navy Ship 11 Div 212!!!

It was nice meeting you and your family too Brenda. I was sorry we didn't get the opportunity to say goodbye to each other. Kelly had great things to say about Kyle too. He said Kyle could always make him laugh. He also said he couldn't believe that Kyle had lost 60 some pounds before joining. He thought he was a big solid guy now - he said he couldn't imagine how he must have looked with 60 more pounds on him! Kelly said all their uniforms only had their last names on them and he said they got into such a habit of using that name that sometimes they never bothered to learn their first. The meet and greet was really fun and I'm so glad that we participated in that. I think Mike was hesitant about it but he enjoyed himself as much as I did. We met Mike and Judy there - I didn't catch their last name but we ended up seeing them all weekend wherever we went. I thought I saw you and Rocky at the airport while we were waiting for our flight. I made my way through the crowd but unfortunately it wasn't you. We didn't get home until 2:00 a.m. either. That was fun! ha ha
Kelly called me last night and said he got settled into his room in Gulf Port. He said his roommate appears to be a cookie cutter of him - likes to hunt, play baseball and the Yankees are his favorite team. He said he is only going to be there for another 10 days and then he's done with his school apparently. Kelly isn't sure if he'll get another roommate or not. I am waiting for him to call today with an address - I am gathering quite a long list of the stuff he wants shipped down there. It is going to be so nice to have communication with them again. Kelly didn't mention anything on Monday. I also asked him if they did anything special for Memorial Day and he said they didn't. I thought that was a little odd. Let me know if you see something on You Tube. Have a great evening Brenda!
Kelly, this is Judy of Mark & Judy McMillan. It was so nice to meet you & Mike. I enjoyed our visit at the meet & greet. We got a call from our son yesterday morning saying he was at the airport headed to Connecticut. I haven't heard from him since he got there. He is also asking us to mail some of his stuff to him, laptop, cell, guitar. I'm glad your son is getting settled in & has a cool roommate. Take care.
Judy - Mike and I really enjoyed visiting with you and Mark. I hope you guys had a good trip back to Texas. It would be nice if we lived closer - I could see us hanging around together. Mike could probably be talked into going to a Texas game with Mark. Glad to hear that Alex is settled. It is so nice that we can communicate somewhat with them now. Kelly called tonight. He should be able to pick up his cell phone tomorrow - he has been using his roommates phone. Are you going to try to visit him there? We talked about it a little here but I think it's too soon since going to Chicago - we don't feel like doing any major traveling just yet. I hope you have a great week and that Mark had a good father's day today!
Hey ladies~ I haven't been on in a few days so I was just catching up on your posts. Glad to see everyone's doing well and able to make calls now. Kelly, thanks so much for calling to check on me. It wa nice to hear your voice! I haven't heard from Josh yet, but I hoping for a letter or a call soon. I'm staying positive, I know it will all work out for the best.
Kelly, I found the picture of the flag. Google this "Human Flag TSC Great Lakes (updated)". They did this on Monday before they were getting ready to ship out. The last time was 93 years ago that they took the human flag picture in Great Lakes. Our boys are a part of history at the Navy Training. When Kyle had that additional 60 pds. on him he was also weight training and he could really put a dent in the grocery bill. He lost 12 pds. at bc and he said look at my arms (they got smaller) He said no upper body training. I just couldn't believe how grown up and how proud they stood. Kyle said to me last night on the phone "mom you have got to stop this crying" the time will fly by and I'll be home to see you! Then he said "or you could make a trip down here to visit". I would love to, but I don't know how our dog would survive. My older son kept calling and telling me how sad Kobe was and how he was moping around and didn't want to do anything when we were in chicago. He is my third son and was he happy to see us at 2 in the morning! Well I sure hope Kelly enjoys were he is at (sure it is hot in Miss.) Kyle said when they went out of the airport it was hot in Fla. I will be talking to you for sure. Have a great night! Brenda
How cool is this!!!! Interesting fact- the 1917 Human Flag only has 48 stars because Alaska and Hawaii weren't states yet.
Our Sailors were there at the right moment in time...Good for them!!!
Destinye, Trying calling The Recruit Traing Command (Public Affairs Office) 847 688-2405. Explain what happened to Josh and that you have a flight scheduled and you need to know if he did BS. They are behind us 1 hour so hopefully you will get this before they go home for the night. I got the # from www.bootcamp.navy.mil/contact.asp. Every time you go for food just get a glass of water and drink it down! I hope you get some info soon. Good Luck Bren
Hey all, Ty is in 'hold' at GL cuz they didn't get his shot records over to the right place. Now he has new orders and we don't know what's going on.we don't know if he will be in the A school at Pcola on the 26 or not, he may have to wait longer now. But there was one other that was in the same situation that was there, so he's not alone, thats good...in a bad way.

I was in the same hotel as a good buddy of his' mom and we talked before I even knew Ty knew her son, it was very cool. They live in Pcola right next to base and she is doing lovely things for the boys there.

I hope all is well with all of the boys and my prayers continue for all.

Destyne, I am so positive that Josh is doing just fine and my prayers for him and you continue. May God Bless you all. Everything is just so unbelievable at Grad, you will be amazed!

Bless all of you and keep safe.
Toni
