Yep, I got my info yesterday! My hubby's also ship 7 div 283!!!!!
yay! I'm glad he's not the only married guy there...I was kind of worried about that. :-)
Yeah, he'll have company!
When did your husband leave? I still dont know which division my bf might be in and its driving me crazy!
he left june 24th.
Mine left June 23rd, too, but he had to spend the night in the Chicago airport due to storms and flight delays, so he arrived the 24th.
Yeah, my bf was supposed to leave on the 23rd but didn't get his flight out until Friday because of the storms.
My bf left june 23rd...hes probably with this division! I cant wait to hear from him!!
yeah waiting for that first sign of life from him was hard. I was SO happy when I got the form letter. I never realized that 4 lines of his handwriting would make me smile so big. Now I'm just waiting for the REAL letter. I have been writing him everyday...kinda sad lol! But I got some great tips from some of the moms on here. Like I send him comic strips and sent a questionaire so he didn't have to spend alot of time writing and could just fill in the blanks and circle things :-)
Well, I've been a bit of a leaky faucet whenever I've gotten anything. I've written mine every day too. I might try that questionaire myself though-sounds hilarious! Especially since some aspects of boot camp will be a real shock to him!
Good Morning,
I just found this discussion after getting on jetcar's page. It will be nice to talk to other's who have loved one's in the same div. My son is in ship 7 div 283, he's 18. Can't wait to get my first "real letter". I got his form letter on July 3rd, and I've started mailing his letters.
Yeah I started mailing letters the day after my hubby got processed...poor recruiter...he gets to deal with me and all my questions :-)
Wow 18! I feel so old LOL!!! I remember being 18 and my mom and I drove from Utah to Kentucky. :-) You must be so proud. 18 and already ready to make a huge difference in our world. I'm proud of my hubby. He wanted to be part of something bigger than just taking phone calls for technical support (which is what he was doing before leaving for bootcamp).
