Hi my son left 3 weeks early may 27th see you soon have you made flight and hotel reservations yet i'm in the process of doing that now.
Hi all I'm from South Georgia, Bainbridge way down here next to the Fla. line. My son is currently in his 5th week of boot camp. We will go up for his PIR July 30th.
I am Arlene, Statham, GA. 70 year old grandmother of Kimberly E4 Petty Officer home base, Norfolk, VA assigned to James E Williams nuclear fighter ship, Curtis E3 soon to be E4 San Diego, already finsihed his A school now in AA School and will be in school there for another year or so. and Chris, in the Coast Guards, home base Alamedo, CA and I cannot remember his ship name...but he is a petty officer too. I miss them so much.... Curtis being the last to join, left for Boot Camp on jan 13th and we did go up and see him graduate but now it has been all this time and he still has not come home. We are really anxious to see him.
just want to ask everyone that will to please say a special pray for two sailors that had a automobile accident in San Diego yesterday. As of late last night they were in critical condition... 18 and 20 years of age. One had severe head trauma and the other had both legs severed below the knees. My grandson Curtis and his girlfriend was at the hospital last night till late and he contacted us at home and asked for prayers for these two boys. We need God to perform a miracle for them. So please pray a special prayer for them.
Hi I'm Carrie, I'm in Stone Mountain (Dekalb County)

My son is Navy Diver out of Kingsbay, GA.
Hello eveyone. I'm in Fayette County. It's good to know we have so many Navy Moms in Georgia.
looking forward to my daughter's PIR Aug 6th
Hey Misty, Welcome to the group!

Dalton is not that far up the road from many of us --- hope we will get to meet you soon. Where is your sailor?
Carolyn, i am sure the family appreciate all our prayers. What I understand the sailor that was driving the vehicle is still in the hospital in serious condition, last I knew he was still in ICU and had lost both his legs below the knee. They said that it had not been for people stopping and putting the strong tie around his legs that he would not have made it to the hospital but they are saying that he will live so I am very glad of this, however i know it will be hard on him but at lease no one lost their life. The sailor that was riding with him was back on base the same week. He only had a few cuts and bruises and they had released him within a day or two... can you imagine how he feels too. I was so upset with all the ugly talk that was blogged on the San Diego new papers on line... people are so inconsiderate of people it was not funny it was horrible some of the things people had the nerve to post. This really is a rough thing for these boys to live with and they do not need any extra garbage to worry about. My prayers are with them both. my grandson is still in San Diego finishing up his 2nd school, guess it is like AA school. We are anxious for him to get home and hopefully he will get home the middle of the month of August. We must all keep our sailors and all our soldiers in our prayers. My grandson that is in the Coast Guards was headed out to sea and their ship broke down and had to be toad back to their base at Alamedo, Ca. they are waiting for it to be fixed and then they possible will be headed to San Diego for a few days and then on to the wild blue yonda.. They really do great jobs when they are out on sea which I cannot say what they do but we should be very proud of them too. All soldiers need our prayers, all are in some type of danger at different times of their assignments.. my grand-daughter who is a sailor had a very unusual type danger just on her ship not far out from shore... so we never know... we just have to pray for them all that God will keep them safe and protect them in what ever they are doing. God bless all you parents, wives, husbands, brothers, sisters, grandparents that are anxiously waiting word from your soldier.. my prayers are with you all always... for i know how you feel about your soldiers being away.
