Just got my husbands info in the mail today. Ship 14 Div 275 with a PIR date of Aug 13th. I'm so happy now. I had a countdown going from Aug 24 and when I got the news that it's the 13th, I was so excited to drop those days. I can't wait to see him! I got a few words from him at the bottom of the info letter too. Made me feel so much better. Now I have to start planning our trip to see my husband graduate!

My husband called last week, Wednesday because he needed info for his security clearance. I asked what he thought about being able to call this week and he said they had a test this week and if they had a perfect score they would get a call. I don't know when that test is or if that applies to all the DIV with a PIR the 13th of August. Since my husband is Div 280 with the same PIR as yours I think they have the same schedule. So my guess is it'll still be a few weeks til we hear from them on the phone, unless they score a perfect score on this test.

When he called for info I had to call his parents and my parents to get info from them, and my husband said he'd call me right back to get the info. He got back in the phone line and it was between 45 minutes to an hour for him to get back to the front to call me back for the info I got. So I guess we'll be blessed with a phone call when it comes. Hope that helps

Hi ladies! Just to let everyone know there is a group for SR's having PIR on 8/13. If you are not a member there, please consider joining us. We're currently in the process of planning the N4M Meet & Greet the night before PIR. You can find the group here, and also find the divisions broken out as well.

Thank you for that. I haven't searched the website well enough to find that yet. That's great. See you in that group!!
Hey Barb S., my son Nick is Ship 14, Div 275...no calls yet. I will post if I get one, please do the same.
Got another letter today. He said he hopes he gets a phone call soon. He said he had heard this week (letter was dated 7/11). He also told us where to find him in the formation when they march for PIR. He sounds better in this letter. He said he is waiting to do more training, i.e. firefighting, firing range, etc. Let's keep our fingers crossed that we will get that call tonight! Oh yea and they are due for their second haircut!
Wonderful news Barb S....Glad you heard from him. I'm anxious to get home from work now and see if we have one in our mailbox. I heard from another Mom that they are starting to give out phone calls. My fingers are crossed with you. It's been a month since that first and last "I'm here" call. I can't remember EVER going more than a week without hearing his voice. I asked my son in this weeks letters to let us know if any recruit in their division doesn't get mail, to let us know, and I will post it on here so we all can send a card or letter. Its too important that they know they are supported, even if not by their own family and friends. I'll let you know if he mentions anyone. Take care, and keep the postings coming. It helps to know we are all going thru this together. Thanks, and God Bless America, and our kids.
Hi Karen, my son Christopher is in the same div as your son. How old is your son? My son is 19.

I got my phone call too!!!!! I was surprised at how long we got to talk! It was so good to hear his voice!
Oh yes and the two recruits that went AWOL were from DIV 275. He knew who they were.
I was waiting for someone to mention the recruits that went AWOL...
