Yay! Welcome to the group Gayla :)
Ok, as promised... as of July 24 and July 25th so the info is a little dated.

SR is jealous that Sweetheart and I talk more than I write him *LOL*

Hell Week should be finishing up today I take it. It started MOnday. He doesn't go into details about it.
Wednesday was weapons inspection and more tests.
He likes his rake mate but he doesn't say who it is.
Anyone know who the new MAA is?
He lost his LLD chit in the wash and had to sort through some nasty laundry to find it. I can just imagine. Ew!
Pizza party after BS21.

We don't have a table at home and he said he's putting his foot down and we're getting one. he's tired of being on the "filthy deck" for the past weeks and said he won't deal with it anymore. Little does he know I'm buying a set this weekend. It's not what I want (I want a chunky farmhouse table with a 3" or so thick top) but it'll do.

FEP Phase (phase 3) is almost here (might be by now) and everyone has mandatory things they need to do. If anything is missed they can't make it up.

PFAs were also Wednesday. I am wondering if that was where they got the flag? Anyone know for certain?

He's nervous because of his shin splints, but since I haven't heard anything I'm assuming he's pushed through.

So far that's about it on the update. I wonder if they did their live fire yet... I hope all the guys did great!
I know a little bit about the MAA, I will private message you. They did live fire today, and I think they will get even more practice throughout some of next week. I think Phase 3 starts on Wednesday :)
OMG, that e-mail touched me so much. And today is Friday, so I'm going to wear red! I got mail from Brad today, yepee! Said hell week started June 28th.
He's staying out of trouble :)
It's very windy and hot there
Digicam's are more comforable then their NWU's
Their kinda working as a team
said classwork is the easiest out of everything at bootcamp
got a 4.0 out of a 5.0 on last test
doing well on inspections
wants taco bell (double yuck) for lunch and olive garden for dinner on PIR
Does not want me to scream when I see him (lol)
Ankle still hurts but is hanging in there, Ya!
Said they sing well together when marching
That's about it.
Thank you for sharing! That is GREAT news about his ankle, thank God! *Not that it is still hurting but that he is hanging in there*
Okay ladies, I need your address and how many people are coming wirth you to PIR to mail you the ribbon, if your making your own, Please just send me a message. If you want me to make them, thats fine, don't mind at all but I need input.
Do we want our saliors first or last names on them?
Do you want the rank strips on there?
I thought to keep costs low, we could use that raised paint for fabric ( like maybe a glitter silver to make it pop, I don't want to use gold due to, officers and above can only wear gold, I guess being a navy brat and a paramedic/firefigter has driven that into over the years, Ha)
Thoughts, ideas? I don't want anyone to be disapointed!
SailorsSweetheart - I have your address and am mailing them out 2 morrow!
So excited, thank you! I think last names would be best. I was thing silver glitter glue/paint as well :)
:D I sent ya a private message. I tried to find stuff here but as far as craft stuff goes I'm fairly limited with places to go. :(
My SR talkes a lot about a good friend that he has made. The initials are J.C. and he is 26 years old. Does he belong to any of you. I would love to share some of the wonderful things about him that my SR shares with me :)
News on 283 :)
They could get up to 6 flags for graduation, so far I know they at least have one (athletic flag) which they got for last weeks PFA's. They had to have no more than 8 people fail in order to get the flag so looks like they did really good on that!
The division seems to be working better as a team. Still room for improovement but there has been progress made
THEY HAVE THEIR SECOND BIG TEST ON MONDAY 8/2/10
Marlinspike went well. They completed the task in small groups. He said the instructor told his group that it was one of the best groups he had seen (yay!)
He said they "sing sogs" all the time at random and they just got off of "Grease" LOL! He *sang* "Your the one that I want..." to me in my letter! Geeze I miss him!
Ok.. that's creepy... I've had that song stuck in my head all weekend............
Let's not forget about thier big test today. Send positive thoughts and prayers their way :)
