Hello Proud Mom!! Glad to see you here!
Wow, I can't believe there are so many ETs. We will all need to stay connected because they will probably be together for a long time!
Hi parkersmom! I've been looking for you and finally thought check the Nukes! My son got a friend request from Kenneth on facebook. As you had said Bryan is waiting to class up. He hopes that it will happen within a couple of weeks. I hope it won't be as long as your family member had to wait. Bryan isn't very patient and loves to be busy so he won't be happy if it takes too long. I talked with him one night this last week and he sounded very bored! It was so great to spend some time with you and your family last week. Your daughter is beautiful and a very sweet girl as well! Bryan liked her dimples! Say hello to your husband and daughter for me and Molly too. Molly loved that she had someone her age to be with other than us old ladies! Take care and I hope to keep in touch with you! Beth
Thanks Beth for finding me! We had a great time with your family at PIR. Kali tried finding your daughter on facebook and couldn't find her. You need to let us know her screen name so they can keep in touch. Parker (or Kenneth) said that he was going to find Bryan's sister! haha

You need to get a facebook so we can keep in touch. I hope that Bryan doesn't have to wait too long to class up. If you guys are coming this way to see Bryan, give us a call. You are more than welcome to stay with us on your way to Florida.
Alex says his class starts on Monday so I guess that means the MMs (plain or peanut) start this week!
Bobbysproudmom, my son was in ship 13 division 247. Parker said that there were 9 nukes in his division. Glad to meet you.
I am sure that our sons are friends, because my son always tells me that the boys from 247 are hanging out. He said that there were 9 nukes from our division and most of them all still hang out. They will separate in classes since your son is an MM and Parker is an ET, but they will all probably still hang out together after classes. Seems like all the boys in that division got pretty close during bootcamp.
Hey bobbysproudmom, I am sorry it has taken so long to get on here. I have been swamped at work and home the last week. Yes, I got to see your son on skype the other day when I was talking to Parker. Very nice young man! I told them that I would take them out to eat some good seafood when I got there the first of September. I am hoping that they will phase up before then because we are planning on taking Parker's car and all of his other "wish" list items (including his civie clothes). I hate that you are so far away, but I will take lots of pictures for you and send them to you.
Just lying on top of the ole bed here listening to Alex and Sailor Moore!!! talk about the movies they are watching. They went shopping at the Kmart, at the mall, scarfed pizza, pretzels and went swimming. Found a good hotel deal. Look up the Ramada. Use the coupon book from rest stops for the best deal.
KS Mom, I guess that Kurt and Parker are in class together because Parker's ET classes started on the 9th too!
My son just finished his training as MM (Machinist Mate) His rank is now Machinist Mate Petty Officer. Pretty impressive for the party animal that flunked out of state college! What does ET and EM stand for?
Hey Nuke Moms!
I've been talking with the group sales office at the Ramada Inn off Ashley Phosphate Road in North Charlseton. This place has been absolutely wonderful. They have a hot breakfast in the morning (waffles, eggs, sausage, grits, biscuts, gravy plus other standard breakfast foods), an indoor and an outdoor pool, smoking and non-smoking floors (ask for 2nd floor rooms), pet friendly, complimentary social hour from 5-7 on M-F (beer, wine, food). The rooms decor is dated but it is all slated for an upgrade as a new management company has bought it. I used one of the motel book coupons and got a $59.95 rate. Alana Stagner is the Director of Sales and she has registered in their reservation system under Navy Moms rate. She says to call her and she will make sure everything is taken care of until the front desk people get used to it--for me its value is not having to find a coupon book and risk not being able to get a room. Her number is 843-572-2200.
