Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome and pop in as often as you like! Heard the dad's site is a total dud - we have several dads that chime in here and are quite welcome :0) I'd venture to say this is one of the most active sites on N4M's! We're a mixed group of nuts that's for sure but there's lots of support and always a smile!

Hey you deepthinker with a profile name like that you can't just lurk you gotta speak up and besides that the dad's on here will certainly need you as backup cuz we rarely cut them any slack..... but we love them, they can hold their own and we love that about them..... so pull up a stump and throw yourself in the pile....I'm sure you'll come up on top sometime... maybe or maybe not.... hee hee hee

Welcome deepthinker!! I lurk a lot also, but my son is in his 6th week of A School for Corpsman at Great Lakes. I'm absorbing all of the information like a sponge!! This is all new to me. My husband is prior service Army but that was 20 years ago!!

Hey lurkers! Lurk less and laugh with us more! So glad you're here and we're happy to help in any way we can. Plan on going to the Corps School Graduation if at all possible. It's really wonderful. My son's with the Marines in Afghanistan right now. In 2more full moons he'll be home. :)

Deep Thinker
Both sites Navy 4 Moms and Navy 4 Dads both have advantages...As prior service and working for the AF, I like the Navy 4 Dads (I am an Engineer by profession); however, as a Mom of two boys, the Navy 4 Moms allows me to seek support and pampers the emotional side. My son wants to go to SARC or Special Forces but this is his first year and all can do is remind him it is his world and it is all up to him, all I asked that he enjoys his time (learn and earn his degree some time before he leaves or have a start before he leaves; within the next 5-19+ yrs). If anything, being a corpsman he will learn a great deal and will be individual you will be extremely proud of and his accomplishments will be like WOW! He is my child!!!
Glad to hear from you and enjoy the adventure with us all for we are truly a family and one will quickly realize it is a small world..Take care -

Welcome...my son is a Hospital Corpsman and is serving his first deployment and will be returning in a couple of months. Hang in there and support him in every aspect. My family and friends send packages all the time. He is a strong and positive young man and I am very proud of him. Join any local group in your area to share things. Take care and stay strong.
