Fingers are crossed here ... I have only received one phone call from my recruit!
Got another letter from Brad today, He's"writing" so much more upbeat now!!! He's also counting down the days on his letters as well. He did'nt say much, he said the Division ran for 30 min strait on the 4th. Brad has 1 min and 11 sec to shave off of his run time to pass, I pray for him everyday and think and send positive thoughts all the time!
Have any of you found out for sure when Battle Stations will be for 283? My two burning questions this entire time have been, "Are you a grad and go?" and "When is Battle Stations?" Today I finally found out that he will NOT be a grad and go so that leaves one burning question, ha! Does any one know when it is? I think someone posted that they think it is the 15th but I cant remember where I read that and if it was for sure...
My hubby seemed to think it was the 11th....but I also think he was just guessing T.T

I miss him so much. I packed his clothes last night and it was really sad. Our plan was that I was going to stay in NYC for about 2 months until I could go be with him. The idea was that I was going to have a sort of "vacation" while he was in A-school. His last letter he told me to start looking for a job in NYC. So now I'm worried he wants me to stay in NYC the whole time he's in A-school T.T That made me really sad.

I really need to talk to him about a few things, but I can't and I hate it.
You read that from me, and my hubby wrote in a letter that it was August 15th. He seemed pretty certain.
And Jetcar, I know the feeling. There's so much stuff I want to tell Michael too. But I know we don't have much more time to go. Tomorrow our gate passes open up on the website. That alone gets me unbelievably excited. I have to go apartment hunting when we're up there, not to mention this will be my home for the next year, so I'm certainly going to want to check it out.
When you get the "I'm a sailor" call, I would ask him to clarify what he meant on that. And what's his rating? That would determine how long his A school is. My hubby's A school is really long, that's why I'm allowed to move up there.
Yea!!! on the gate passes. Has anyone gotten a call? Saliors Sweetheart~ did you hear from him in a letter or on the phone?
I have not gotten a call but I have been getting some letters. I will try to post later today some of the things he shared :) I think I will get a call sometimes this week and I am SO looking forward to that!
Just got letter!! The guys are forming team work!! Earning ribbons!! They got a flag for PFP! 25 got sharp shooter!! Survived Hell week as a team!! Earned another flag!! Most passed sit-ups , push-ups and running!! Those going to Florida leave Aug 30!! Come home Nov 15 for 15 day leave:)..... wonder aug 20th til 30th?? do they come home???
I am SO happy to hear that they are working better as a team and earning ribbons! What is a PFP flag? Did they earn ANOTHER flag in addition to the athletic and PFP flag? Thank God hell week is over and they are all alive and well! Do you by any chance know when their final academic test and final PFA are? Or did they already have their final tests? I am thinking they will be this week because next weekend is battlestations but maybe the final tests are already done. Well, I know my SR passed test number 2...but isn't there three of them? *Sorry for the 20 questions, ha! Just answer what you can, LOL!*
20 questions!!! don't have answers!! know 25 got ribbons for sharp shooter!!all got flag for athletic!! when it rains they have xtra time to study!! If they passed two ....3rds a breeze!!
Haha! I know, sorry about all the questions. Good to know that 3rd should be a breeze now that they have passed 1st and 2nd :)
I wonder how they have extra time when it rains, They are indoors (for all their training), thats why they (the navy) built and spent that money. I don't care, Im glad they get more time, it's just funny though.
