Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

That's true. And I can't really imagine the RDCs being like, "well, it's raining outside, so you guys don't have to make the 1 mile walk to Freedom Hall yet. Go study."

August 3rd!!
I printed of my gate pass today, got another letter, and the banner that i ordered for Brad to welcome him home come in today :) He's not a grad a go, yea! he still doesn't know when BS 21 is (btw this letter was dated the 5th of Aug). He did something to get IT :( but I don't know what for. Needs to shave a couple of sec's off his run, so he's gettig better :) He's getting his orders today. they have won a total of 4 flags and has also won PFC and guide on. they gotten most of their pictures taken. If they have passed their swim test they don't have to take it again. they passed their latest div inspection. and they have #3 test that they still have to take
Orders for A school? I'm asking because I need to know when my hubby gets his orders, because that may contain my moving date on it-I really would like to know when I'm going to Chicago, for obvious reasons!!!!
Yes it's his orders for A school. He won't get his orders for his first duty station untill sometime in A school, prob near the end.
As soon as someone knows the date for our BS 21 please post it here, It's driving me crazy not knowing
It's August 16-17 according to the latest letter, dated August 3rd.
I thought you were the one that said it would be Aug 15th? I am confused now. At least we have it narrowed down to either Sunday night or Monday night..we could always just burn blue candles both nights???
Thank you so much for that date!!!!! So that means they will be doing BS 21 together with Div 284
I just got a letter from my SR and he gave me some REALLY important dates, yay!

PI, DMI - 11th (PI = Personal Inspection & DMI = Departmental Material Inspection)

Firefighting 1 & Gas Chamber - 8th *Although, that was this past SUNDAY so that date might be a little off... I don't know if they do stuff like that on Sunday's ???

Final PFA - 12th

Test #3 - 13th

BATTLE STATIONS!!!!! - 17th

I'm a Sailor call - 18th *He didn't list this part but I am just SO excited about it so I am typing it anyways:) *
