Got my Form letter today and a sweet note from my husband in the comment section! Any others in Ship 6 Div 946?

My boyfriend is in Div 946 as well! I couldn't believe he was able to call on Saturday! I wasn't expecting a phone call for a few weeks. He mentioned that he was going to be in a 900 division so I looked it up as well so I was surprised he was put into it because he doesn't have any musical background either (even though I know that's not all it entails). He will be doing Advanced Electronics Computer Field, so something similar to your son, Mia? We have only gotten the form letter, but no box yet!

Markie, from what I have read, they will have liberty on Friday after PIR as well as Saturday and Sunday, but they do have to follow guidelines and be back at RTC in the evening.

I can't wait to go send my first letter! I hope that they give them their mail this Sunday, I bet they are going to need all the love and encouragement from home after a tough start.
Thank you LTLY. I was wondering if they were going to be doing flags. That clarifies my suspicions. My son said that he thought they were put in Div 900 because of their ASVAB scores. Have any of you heard anything about that? Got my box yesterday and thought it would probably be a while before I have any of his clothes to wash again...don't know if that is a happy or sad thing. I actually felt kind of sad..Who would have thought after all these years I would be sad because I didn't have laundry..LOL
My son said he was in the group because of his ASVAB score. There's information about the 900 group at the top of the main PIR 10/1/10 page that lists all of the different things that will qualify you for the 900 divisions. It could be scores, musical talents, Nuke program, etc...
Thank you I read it and was so proud. I can't wait to see if he shows up on any videos in September.
My son is also in this div, he did njrotc in high school and was part of the drill team, he did what they call armed trick, spinning rifles . And as you we are very proud of him and all that have enlisted....
I heard they get chosen for this division for asvab scores, marching experience ie,ROTC,CAP,musical abilities. I guess we'll know more as time goes by.
Received my form letter on Monday, my son (Dennis) is also on Ship 6/Div 946. Although I talked to him on Saturday, it was still really nice to get the letter with a note from him. He said that he's already gotten use to the quick showers and that the food wasn't as great as he had heard but edible. He wanted me to kiss the dog for him who btw, just finally quit hanging out in his room waiting on him to come back... lol I just sent my first letter to him yesterday but I hear it could take a couple weeks for them to receive them. I went on his facebook page and sent his address to his close friends and cousins so they can write him too. Can't wait to get the next call or letter...
My son also said there was much yelling. Fortunately this won't kill them. :)
does any one know when there receive letters. {what day} I heard it can take up to five days for a letter to get there. Also, can we send pic? I have already sent out four letter to my son. Hope he gets them soon.

Our dog has not given up waiting for my son (Jacob). The dog now sleeps on his bed, or just hangs out in his room
We don't know yet if they are recieving the letters we are sending. I have numbered each envelope in case they get them all at once. My hope is that they are getting them and we just don't know it yet.

Poor puppy :(
It took my boston, Spice about 5 days to quit sleeping in his bed and to eat her food. She misses her buddy very much. Now I can't move without stepping on her.
Have whoever wants to send pic have them color copied onto reg paper. If the envelops feel like ther are pic, spec stuff, the RDC may open them if front of everyone. Also NO musical cards any of those cause the recruit to have to do push-ups the entire length of time the music plays. FUN!! Don't send envelops with pics on the outside ie shoebox brand.
