I started this discussion so we’re able to keep all our thoughts on our meet and greet in one place.

Please share all your Ideas you have for our meet and greet here

*some groups have made buttons; ribbons; worn different color scarf’s ( to identify who you, your division, and who your Sailor is) PIR 8/13/2010 are buying “sailor hats” and each one is decorating their own, I think (I thought that was a cool idea)

*Also if you could please place your name, your SR's first name and the names of who is attending meet & greet with you here, that would be great as well, even if your not attending, I still want to include you in the list below.

The Ramada provides Hot Hors d'oeuvres, but drinks are not included.  Drinks are available, each person will be responsible for their own bar tab.  If you are staying at the Ramada you will receive a couple of drink coupons.

Thanks Susan. How are you going to do the ribbons. I was thinking I would do them like this picture, except with navy blue and gold ribbons. I'll post it on our group too.

Love it, but I haven't even gone to get the ribbons yet. How are you attaching them to the button?
I sent my SR a letter asking about his division flag, hoping to get an idea of the colors to choose a color for the ribbons. I haven't heard from him yet. So, I'm thinking purple. That color has special meaning to our family. Is there anything I can do to help? We will be arriving in Great Lakes the afternoon of the 19th. Div 281 and 282 have Battlestations tonight!

I am not yet sure if my friend will be attending the meet and greet. Her daughter is in Div 281 and there will be her and her two younger daughters attending if they are able to come.

Thanks!
Stpehanie ~ Purple is a good color, Just get in touch with the rest of your DIv and find out how many might be attending, You can each make your own or One person from your Div can make them for your whole DIv. Would you like me to put Purple next to your Div # up top?
Hey Y'all! Less than a week away for PIR!!! We got our SAILOR call this afternoon!
My friend with a daughter in 281 will be coming for the Meet and Greet. She joined this site today but I told her I would go ahead and get her on the list.
Kamla and Greg and their daughters Hania and Natasia
Can't wait to see y'all there!!!
Amber, yes, you can put purple next to our Division. I think my family will be the only ones there so I can make some and a few extra just in case. Are we all doing kind of the same thing or to each our own?
Thanks!
Everyone is doing their own thing, Just that each Div is Sticking with the same color ribbon
Do you know what color 281 is doing?
Not quite done but this is the ribbon for Ship 6 Dv 940

Love the ribbon txnavymom. It reminds me of all those homecoming mums I made when the kids were still in high-school. I still have some of the letters left to use on our ribbons.
It is from the homecoming mums but alittle smaller I kinda added more can't wait to give them to the moms in my division Im excited.
Neat ribbon Txnavymoom, I love it.
