I just got a call from the "Recruit Training Command' and TOTALLY thought it was going to be my honey. It wasn't. Unfortunatly he is in not feeling well (probably a 24 hour stomach flu/food poisinging type thing, he puked this morning, my poor honey!). He will be fine though, nothing to worry about, but I am giong to pray for him nontheless and if you pray, please say a prayer for him too, his name is Karlton.
The SR who called was actually his R-POC, that was pretty cool to talk to him! He was just calling to confirm who would be attending PIR. Since I had him on the phone I figured I may as well ask him when Battle Stations is just to confirm what Karlton wrote in his letter. The R-POC said, "I believe it is on Tuesday"... which is the 17th. Yay!!!
All that to say, yes, 283 will have Battle Stations on Tuesday, August 17th :) It is confirmed!
Sailors Sweetheart~ HooYah!!! Im so thankful for Karlton~ He gives dates, LOL! Boy their cutting it close on BS. Not that antone in this div is going to fail BS 21 and have to retake it, but still. When was your letter dated? Mine was dated on the 8th and did not mention Gas chamber or firefighting. I agree with you on the Sunday thing, I would'nt think they ever did much on Sundays seeing it's called a holiday and they get "free time" till 1pm. So mabey they did it on the 9th, eathier why that horable part of the gas chamber is over. I wonder if they all had fun fire fighting, Im Jelous, I haven't been able to fight a fire in almost 4 months ( not that I want anything to burn mind you, just that if it's going to happen I want to be there) I geuss that's just the firefighter in me, LOL. Have a good night.
I wonder if the R-POC is calling everyone? I have never heard of anyone from the DIV calling famly to confirm PIR. Still glad to hear about the date of BS 21
I was. He said August 15th in his earlier letter, but the latest letter said the 16th. I'm not sure he knows what he's talking about now:)

He told me I'd "have to see" what their div flag looks like when I get to PIR (he won't tell me or draw it, wants it to be a surprise
Their PT gear is "nike" name brand, lol
They don't have to wake up at 4 am everyday, only sometimes

See Ya Soon!!
Candles are lit and we are praying for all our boys in 283!
My SR is still in RCU and on Sunday he went to the VA Hospital. Good news about that is I actually got to talk to him for a cumulative hour! It was amazing! Then yesterday I got to talk to my SR for another hour (which I found really odd since he was back on base). He's really congested and still has his fractures.

I'm going to miss being up there with you all.

*has a blue candle burning for you all anyway*
