Hi Hazel! Happy to meet you! I hope we can have the chance to meet in person soon. My son said a few words in his 1st letter that's leading me to think he's gonna be a Grad n Go, but not sure yet. If so, he's heading off to Pennsicola FL. Man, I sure hope we get our weekend with him, but if not, this is what we signed up for huh? And I'm sure there'll be many more times like this to follow...the joys and the sorrows :) :(
girl! i just got home from the grocery store, still had bags in my hand, and peeked through the mail - and i had ice cream to put away!! do you think i got them to the freezer - NO WAY! opened my son's letters first thing! i'm so so happy for you! davon also mentioned, in caps - "NO FOOD OR I'LL GET IN TROUBLE!", so, looks like maybe another recruit got food, and it wasn't a happy ending...but, he did confirm only letters and pics, so you're in the right direction in getting pics made, i am too!
I wasn't going to attempt to send anything. Our recruiter told us, "Paper only!" He also advised against the musical cards as they are embarrassing and can be used against them. I keep re-reading the letter. It wasn't long, so I nearly have it memorized! So happy for you!
I'm so glad you heard from your son and that he is doing well. Maybe our boys are in a really good division. They seem to be the only division who was able to write a letter so soon. I have my fingers crossed that I will receive on tomorrow.
did you read the article about our kids in the 900 division under the main PIR 10/15 discussions tab?? OMG, i'm amazed, proud, honored, so darn emotional - i did NOT know this...thank God for this site and the people helping us learn so much about what's going on...
ksmom, i replied to you below, not sure why it fell way after your post...
I sent something a few minutes ago also and it never showed up. I guess it got lost in cyber space. I had to retype the whole thing.
That happened to me today too. Weird.
Hi punkyp91, Welcome!!!! So glad to have you join us. We are all going through the same thing. Some of our moms have already from their kids, and some of us have not. We are all checking the mail several times a day. LOL I hope we both hear something very soon. Make sure and let us know if you get a letter. Meanwhile, we are all here for you. Hugs to you
