Welcome Bellaboo! So glad we have another one in our group! Maybe your husband is helping out the younger ones! lol Sure did take a long time to get your letter! Bet you were glad to see it! Welcome again and if you have any questions just ask. If we can't answer them we will find someone who can. There are a lot of helping women on this site.
Hey guys! Hope everyone has enjoyed their Saturday! I have been following a couple of things on here. First ribbons to wear at PIR. I think each div is going to have a different color so we can tell who we all are (N4M and div). We can order them from a lady on here. There is a discussion about it on our PIR 10-1 group. Second, they say that we do not want to have our meet and greet at the Ramada Inn. They say it is bad. You can go to PIR 8-13 group to read up on it. So do we want to have our meet and greet somewhere else. Is the meet and greet for each Div or the PIR as a whole? Hmmmmm...... I guess we will figure that out together! lol Hope everyone has a great weekend! Oh and no letters here except the form letter!
Hey everyone! Hope this Monday finds all of you in good spirits. Anyone gotten a letter or a phone call yet? I am chompin' at the bit to hear some news. I saw one of the other ships got phone calls today...that gave me hope!!! I have heard good and bad about the Ramada Inn...took my chances and made my reservations there. I figure we probably won't be in the room that much anyway. Too chicken to reserve my airfare yet. Airlines have some great deals right now, but I think it's too early. I need a letter first! :) Gotta know that things are going ok.
Hey MtnMom62! No letters or calls here! I am like you I need something soon or I am going to have to go peek through the fence! lol We are staying at the Red Carpet Inn. It is only a mile away from the base. Thought maybe I could walk and get him one morning and would give us some time together. It is 65/night! Just need a little something! lol
Wow Sondra...I saw on the PIR 10/1 group that you got a letter. I hope I get one tomorrow. I'm sure even if it is 2 sentences, I'll read it a hundred times! LOL Can't wait just to hear that my son's ok and hanging in there! Of course I'd be reall happy to have a phone call too...:) :) We're over hump day...looking forward to the weekend already!
Hope that letter comes today for ya! There is nothing like it! I feel so much better! Funny how just a letter can make you feel good! I can't wait for this weekend either, he said that they might get to call next week (this week) since he wrote it on Sunday! I have a friend ( her son and my son are best friends) that left Monday for Marine bc. I went by and talked to her yesterday, she is having a really hard time. I hope you have a great day! Let me know if you get that letter! Praying that you do!
Good morning Sondra. I too read that you got your letter. CONGRATULATIONS! I am very excited for you and now I know mine should be here soon. I joke that mail is delivered to Idaho by horse and buggy because it is soooooo slow. I know the warm feeling you have in your heart and I am sure each of us will be receiving that over the next couple of days. Thanks for sharing so we all know to watch that big box out front. Have an awesome day! Rose Ann
Thanks Rose Ann! You are so right about that warm feeling in my heart! Hope you got your letter today! I can't wait to see what your son has to say! I feel like I have been on cloud 9 all day!
Hi All, I just received the form letter today and a first letter from my recruit. Can't believe it. He is also SHIP 13 DIVISION 330 PIR 10/1. He is doing okay but really misses being able to talk to us. He said his division is great and he likes it considering what it is.
Hi all. I got a letter today too! Twin Falls don't worry!! I think the Pony Express left Colorado and is on the way to Idaho!! It takes forever for us to get our mail too. I was amazed at how neat this letter was! His handwriting is usually barely legible. Every word neat and spelled correctly. He says he is doing OK and things aren't as horrible as he imagined they would be. He passed his swim test, but didn't know yet how he did on his PT. Says to food is good and all they do is march, study, PT, eat, sleep get yelled at and stencil things! He's SICK of stenciling things! LOL. He is a diet coke freak and was quite happy to report that they have it in the chow hall. He is very homesick... towards the end of the letter he was feeling a little blue, but I am hearing that is normal. Hope everyone gets letters very soon. Really looking forward to that first phone call too!!
Hip Hip Horray! You got a letter! Doesn't it feel good?? Hang in there Twin Falls it is coming!!!! Hey there Kat Q! Welcome to our page! Wow I wonder why it took so long for you to get your form letter?? My son said the food is good, but then he is happy if he just gets to eat! lol Not a picky eater, guess that's good! Hope you all have a great night!
We received the first letter from Sarah today and she is doing well. She is so motivate to be the toughest and she is so stubborn that the yelling and screaming pushes her. She passed the swim and tried to qual for 2nd class swimmer but failed due to her kick style in the side stroke. It was strong that in her letter she was telling her family to stay strong because she was "all good".

Are there any recruits going to MA school in San Antonio. Sarah was asking so I might give her their names.
