Good Morning!!! I'm so thankful for this site, I would do a lot more boo hooing with out it! Hope everyone has a GREAT day today!! ;)
I feel the same way! I'll have puffy eyes right along with you! We can sit and cry together as we watch our Sailors PROUDLY PIR!

Nope... no real letter yet. Each day I hold hope that THIS will be the day. You know I'll post as soon as I get one!!!

Hang in there!!! HUGS!!!!
No real letter yet...but I'm hopeful. Those three lines stick in my head...and yes carry that letter around in my purse. Getting a little teary eyed just writing this...thanks to all of you for your support, others don't quite understand. But....today will be a good day, I know that letter/call is coming soon! Sending positive thoughts your way...you all have a wonderful day...got to get back to work. :)
No letter yet, just the form letter with 3 lines that was written after one week. In it my son said "we won't get to write again until Sunday". So, I'm hoping we'll have something tomorrow.

Sheilaq, your right, others don't understand. A co-worker just said to me "hey your just gonna have to think, at least your not sending him to war like some other mothers". Doesn't she think I try to think positiviely? Did she have to go there? YUP, this is why I'm quiet at work, don't want to hear peoples stupid words of wisdom. Good thing I can't curse on this site.

Glad to have you ladies!!
Uh... yeah... some people say the most idiotic things. I have to believe they mean well... but they could actually THINK before they blurt out stuff. ;)

LOL... Glad to have you, too! Also glad I work from home all by my lonesome!
Ya well, too bad I didn't think before I stuck out my foot and tripped her. LOL, Ok so thats just what I pictured in my head....didn't feel like getting fired today.

Hey Dana, looks like the morning cheerleader has turned into afternoon crankster!! Like I said I'm going with it.
HAHAHAHA... LOL! I needed that laugh. :) You can be cheerleader or crankster... and we'll still love ya! :)
I agree... I wish each division could have a FB page or something and they could post pics every day... and an update about what they were doing. Ya... I know... I'm dreaming!!!

I even emailed his recruiter to ask if she could tell what day of training they were on but she said she didn't have that info. Boo hoo. :(

I just need some news! I miss my baby! ;)
I miss my boy too...am now obsessing about missing a phone call. Geezzz!! I think once I do hear his voice, get a real postcard, or see his pic on the web...it could happen ;) I will calm down a bit. No news is just killing me.
I agree. It's so hard to not hear any news! I hate it! Boohoo!!!!
Ah... hang in there chick! It is funny the things that set the tears off, huh?

Listen... Dillons gonna change... but he's still going to be Dillon! My husband of nearly 19 years was in the Navy... and I met him in the Navy... and he was (and is) a fun guy! The Navy doesn't take away your personality. They just teach you structure and other important life skills. Trust me, when you get to hang out with Dillon back at the hotel - he's still going to be your baby! he's still going to tease and poke... I'm sure he's looking forward to it!

He may act different in public, because wearing the US Navy Uniform commands a certain dignity and it's the man in him that will be respectful of that. But there's still a boy inside raring to cut loose! Trust me... Navy boys cut loose! They have fun... just make sure you warn him about Navy girls! They like to have fun, too!
My boy is a little older and while I wasn't ready for him to grow up, it's a wonder watching him do so. We laugh, we cook together, and just talk sometimes for hours...it's different yes, but as he grows and changes I really have enjoyed the young man he has become. Our relationship gets richer as he develops and matures...he is still the same little boy, that little grin and twinkle in his eye doesn't ever change even with the new life experiences.

Sending lots of hugs your way...my youngest is now 24, my Navy man 26, and oldest 29...ok now I'm just feeling old!
