Hey ladies, I hope you don't mind that I moved our page to our PIR group.  I read where we need to do this so that the other page can be cleared for the next group.  Plus this will be easier to keep up with!  lol  Hope you all are having a great day!

Good evening all. Received mail today - yahoo! My SR sounded so much better this time in his letters. Said they still have a couple of guys can't get it together and it is frustrating. He said the guys around his bunk are super and that they are all supporting each other. So great to hear. Seby's recruiters used to tell them when they were in DEP meetings that it was about teamwork, and to remember always - NO ONE LEFT BEHIND. The person who swore them in before leaving for boot camp told them if they thought they were going to boot camp and just mosey along keeping quiet they were mistaken. He said you don't do boot camp alone - it is teamwork and the sooner you learn it the easier it is. He said if you want to make your experience in BC miserable then it will be. If you want it to turn out positive it will be - entirely up to you. Too bad some of the troublemakers didn't have this person swear them in. Okay, my 2 cents worth. My son sighed his letter - only 32 more days and a happy face.
I got my letter today too. It was a little longer than the last one. He started it by indicating it is the 2nd letter he has EVER written! :) He said the division is doing better but there are still a few who have to get it together. He also mentioned about the push group they are in. I am thrilled they are doing all in less time, although I know it is tough on them. I am just happy to see him earlier and again, CANNOT WAIT FOR OCTOBER 1ST!
I too got a little longer letter today! He talked about being in a push DIV and said that things were getting better! He asked a lot about things at home. He had a friend that was in an ATV wreck not long before he left and she is paralized from the chest down. She gets to come home tomorrow! He said they didn't get to watch tv or listen to music so they had been singing a lot. lol Was a repeat of most of the stuff that he had told me on the phone. Said he wasn't having any trouble but that they still had a few that were! Things seem to be getting better! Said that he loves it and that he didn't regret joining! Makes me rest a little easier!! He is such a good boy. lol I am with ya Twin Falls COME ON OCT 1ST!!!!!!!!!!! Talk to you all tomorrow!
Good Morning all: Just checking in real quick and to say that I pray that all
of our Navy families are out of harms way of Hurricane Earl and they only get a washing like we did. Forgot to mention yesterday that in my SR letter he said he joined the "potty group" and that he gets to eat and shower first. Just like my son, anything that can gets him closer to food he is up for. lol Anytime we went to potluck dinners he was always in line first. All the ladies knew so it was always, okay Seby line up.
We got a letter! They are having a test today. Some review of previous material and then the new material. He's studying a lot. Everyone has a position and he's a security guard. Michael mentioned "push division" also. I wonder when we'll find out if PIR date changes? Wonder if they have a different schedule for Labor Day?
Michael indicated they were are on track for PIR on the 1st. I will be devastated if that changes. I know they recommend refundable tickets but those were twice the price so I booked us two non-refundable plane tickets and hotel already. I haven't even thought of the chance it would change until you mentioned it. It sounds like each day they are all getting better so I will stay positive we are on track! :) Have a great Friday!
Hi there I finally got approved for membership but I have been reading all of your post for a couple days..My son is in this same Ship/Div . and I, like all of you are so anxious for Oct 1.. I also got a call Tues.. and been getting his letters.. and yes he also had his wisdom teeth cut out... poor fellow he had trouble with stitches and bled all over rack that night he ended up SIQ from 23 to 26.. gave him more study time and time to write us and his gf....I am soo proud of my son. A warm welcome to SailorMom - you are going to enjoy this site. Keeps everyone up and happy as we are all going through the same thing. Learning patience - lol.

Happy Birthday to JMom - enjoy your day. Mine is around the corner and hoping my SR won't notice and become sad. It will be the first time being apart. My best birthday present is that i know he is where he wants to be and starting a great future for himself.

Just spent a terrific day with his girlfriend. We went to the local mall and spent forever in Borders. (reading through a huge book of Navy history) and then off to lunch at Chilli's She is such an awesome girl and we love her dearly.
Awww that is soooo awesome that you like his GF! I love my hubs family. His mom is soooo cute and his Grams is outta this world fun. His dad is a card. His whole family, siblings included, are just great.

It makes things super nice when you can get along great. :)
