We are reaching the 30 day mark until our recruits are honored with the title "Sailor".  They are making huge sacrifices and changes to become a proud Navy Sailor,  Many of us made commitments early on to making some great fitness and weight changes in our lives as well.

We have a "push" division in our PIR.  They had to push to make it happen!  They have to fit boot camp in, and all of it's requirements to make it to PIR one week earlier.  Can you imagine - do NAVY boot camp, do your best, and do it in 1 less week.

We also have a pre-buds group,  These are our recruits that are on their way to becoming Navy Seals!  The greatest soldiers on the planet!  They have additional things being asked of them too, and they are committed to doing it all!

Our 900 division is also required to do all that is required - plus learn the drills, and their roles to perform at 3 graduations.  Our 900 division is carrying the state flags at the 9/24. 10/01, and our very own 10/08 graduation.

Now - in ALL our divisions think of the 25 recruits that also have leadership responsibilities in addition to all that they are doing.

My point is this - these fine young recruits have more on their plates than we can possibly imagine, regardless of what div in they are in.  They are all doing it while being homesick and having a huge culture shock.  They exemplify HONOR - COURAGE and COMMITMENT!

We can do this!  We can PUSH for the next 30 days and make some incredible changes in our lives as well.

Thank you!!!
Gooooo N4M team 10/8!!!!!!!! We can do it!!!!!! Lost 14 pounds so far...cut my hair short and dyed it red!!!! Im out of control!!! lol!
Go for it! Glad to hear of your success - very motivating!
Honnalora - thanks for getting this going. I started really strong the first two weeks, and then dropped off last week. I am BACK on TRACK! I don't have a weight-loss goal, just a "feel better" goal.
Great Job on the 5 pounds! Keep up the good work.
Ready to make it happen! I have been struggling with my diet and exercise, missing my son has had a huge impact on me. I am so proud of him and can't wait to see him. At the same time, I don't want him to see me and go "so Mom, I left and ya just sat down and did nothing for a 8 weeks?". That would be BAD.

I have always been a fitness nut. Before I had my son, I owed a gym and fitness club. I sold it not long after he was born - to be a stay at home Mom. 10 years ago, I felt a call to ministry and because an ordained Minister. (everyone says thank you to ministers with FOOD). I know work for about 50 Churches in our community, leading community ministry efforts for our city. Most of my meetings, involve food.

My husband is a triathlete (swim, bike, run) and is training for IRONMAN Florida. 2.4 miles swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run. He trains his brains out and has completely changed his body, for years he was a bodybuilder. My son (our little recruit) has been a state champion mountain biker, a duathlete (running and biking) then moved to football and wrestling before entering his first bodybuilding show before he graduated high school. They make me feel like a SLACKER! Even my neighbor is a marathon runner.

I love to help people train, and am currently training several people. Recently, I helped a friend of mine lose 50 pounds. Now - if I could just follow my own advice! I am about 30 pounds overweight and really need to be motivated. Thanks for listening to me - and thanks for being on the team! We can do this together, and be an incredible support team for each other. I don't mind admitting that I really need you! Sometimes just admitting where you are helps you to get where you want to go!
Wow lady!! Sounds to me like you've got all the know-how and just need a little TIME!!! I can tell you love your work, and your family... is it possible for you to cut back somewhere to give youself a little time to devote to you? I hope you can find a balance, and that the Lord will show you how He wants you to take care of yourself as well! I think we all struggle in this area a bit. I try to remind myself that my body is a temple to Him, for His spirit, and that it is important that I take care of myself for this reason, but I must admit, I have to do A LOT of reminding, and I'm not where I need to be in this area of my life or my spiritual maturity either. Let's pray for each other, and let God show us where we need to put our efforts! With love - Ship10Mom
This is great, just the little extra motivation that is needed. No weight loss but no gain either, and that is a plus!
We can do this! We are all going to be feeling great on 10/08!
Ok I know that it is three weeks late but I started my diet today. I was so excited when I came on here to see that there is a group started for us to all give support on our new selves. I now know that I was meant to start today. I am so glad to have a support group to report to. Congrats to all the women that have already lost weight.
It's never too late! Today is a great day to get started. They say anything you do for 30 days becomes a habit. You are starting a new habit today that is going to have a lasting affect. We are cheering you on!
That is AMAZING! So glad to hear it. I jogged today, got in a short swim, and did my best to eat right. Tomorrow - the gym! Weightlifting is one of my favorite things.
