Same for us... No call and the only letters came last Wednesday. Still waiting.
I want to thank everyone who sends out info. To those of us who are first timers this info is priceless. Thanks again
HEY! Got a call! 30 minutes of pure joy. Get by the phones!
Me to, She called me crying, I wanted to cry so bad but i had to stay positve. It was so wonderful to here her voice. She will be doing the rifles for the pir. She said that its going by fast and that they are starting to work as a team. I miss her so much. 30 more days.
Her and Foster have become good friends.
My Kid????
She said Adam Foster from Tenn.
For the safety purposes - we are asked to not use first AND last names. Can you delete this post? Sorry for being a downer - just want to keep our recruits safe! Remember ANYONE could be on here.
I got my call yesterday also. She has a cold and is losing her voice. Said the worst part was the 10 minute showers, from start to finish. Said the best part was the food. Said they had great desserts. Ha, Only her. She said it wasn't that bad but didn't really want to stay any longer than she had to. I think she seems to be adjusting pretty well. There was no crying or talk of home sickness. Just wanted us to send pictures. It was so great to hear from her finally. I hope everyone else has a great phone call....
great that you got a call! So glad you got to hear his voice, and it sounds like he really needed to hear yours as well. My son had a similar experience at MEPS with being color blind. His heart was on being Master At Arms as he has always had a love of law enforcement. His Grandpa was an Army military policeman and died in active duty. He was so disappointed, felt like it so limited him. He seems pleased at becoming a corpsman, as he also loves health and fitness. I am praying for your son!
Wondering if our sons know each other and are becoming friends. Would be great for them, sounds like they may have some things they could talk about. Wonderful that they are both in 900 division together and that they will be going to A school together as corpsman. My son is the master at arms of the div, maybe you can check with your son. ( I am gonna pray he doesn't say yeah - I know that jerk...considering my son is in charge of discipline. lol)
hey my son called today and guess what I found out......he earned master at arms but had it taken away because he was too tall. He almost didn't get to participate at all because he was too tall.He has been sick but say most recruits are or have been, along with he had his wisdom teeth taken out. He is feeling better and seems high spirited and this eases my heart enormously.
