Hey ladies, I hope you don't mind that I moved our page to our PIR group.  I read where we need to do this so that the other page can be cleared for the next group.  Plus this will be easier to keep up with!  lol  Hope you all are having a great day!

No letter today so I am totally sad. His letters normally come on Thursday. I guess with the holiday it will be delayed. Not fair - oh well. MtnMom - I am in the same boat as you, my SR was having trouble with his running. He was good on all other though. I am also on pins and needles to hear what is going on. I guess I have to remember - no news is good news. I do believe this is our Hell week also. Not knowing wears on the nerves after a while. I do have everyone's SR's and their families in my prayers. We will succeed. Navy Moms/Wives rule. Love the Navy scrapbook, I am hoping that I dcan find one.
Hey Ladies! Got a letter today! 5 pages plus all the questionaires!! (3) YEEEHAWWWW!!! He said that he was starting to write every night now. He said that he had become real good friends with several guys! One from Alabama. One from Florida. Said they ordered their uniforms and that he loved them. Wasn't crazy about the boots!!!! Not the look I think they hurt his long feet! He said they had holiday time on Sunday mornings from 0700 to 1300. He said they get to do what they want (like ironing, shining their boots, go to church, writing) all that fun stuff! He said that he was having to stand watch some and that he has a job at church on Sunday. Said that he helped with communion last Sunday! Said that they had 5 inspections over the next 2 weeks (this week and next). He said that pinkeye was going around and that he hoped he didn't get it! lol (Me too) Talks a lot about his brother and the upcoming football season and how good he is doing in school. Talks a lot about getting bigger arm muscles and abs! He has always been tall and skinny! States that he does extra pushups each night! Most important he said he loved his mom the most!!!!! He is not sure about Battlestations 21 yet! They got their second haircut last week too! Hope others are getting letters! Keep sending them he said that some of the guys are getting really homesick. Prayers going up for for guys!!!!!!
Just sent you one back! lol
We got a letter, too! Michael said people were down with fevers and strep throat but he was fine so far. He was excited about the uniforms and it made him feel closer to graduation. He said mail is handed out every night. Everyone is gathered around listening for their names to be called and it reminds him of the excitement kids have at Christmas. The fill in the blank statements I had put in a card made him laugh and he said he got every answer right. Have a good night everyone!
I got a letter today too - short but sweet. Half a page but he told me he was OK and his ear was fine which is what I really wanted to hear. He sounded much more up beat this week, he was so worried that he would have to quit because he had hearing lose, but that is not an issue so I think he can focus more now. Can't wait to hear more from him.
Three weeks ladies! YEEHAW!!!!!!!!!! Seems like it has been years since I saw him last! lol Hope all has a good day! See you this evening!!!!! Praying those that didn't get letters yesterday have full mailboxes today!!!!!!
Yes, three weeks from today!! Soon this week #4 will be over for them; yay!! God Bless them all and all of their families.
Good morning... I will have to wait till husband gets home to see if we got a letter still .. I know his gf hasnt gotten her weekly letters as of last night either.... but my daughter did get one today ... I had to take over reading it as she got real emotional... He was referring to his new little neice not knowing him and him realizing he wont be around so much anymore and that is part of him officially being a man.. and him being proud to be a shipmate to his brother in law... .ohhh and he also mentioned he was the division's "artist"... that he designed their division's flag and painted it and all.. that is interesting... proud of him ... anxious to see it..... ohhh i hope we get letter at home.... told my husband he better check mail as soon as he gets home and call me .lol

I hate to hear of all the ones that have been sick... pray for speedy recovery...
Hi everyone. I have been slow to join this group, but I am missing my kid like crazy today. I got letters today. He is fine. I hope he hasn't gotten the strep going around. I just miss him. We are making plans to go to PIR. We will be taking the train. I did not want to drive and its too expensive to fly. Does anyone have an extra ticket to graduation? My son put his girlfriend on the list which means one of his brothers will miss the ceremony. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
Welcome Skeezix! Glad you finally joined! I don't have an extra ticket but I have been informed that they have a holding place that the ones go that don't have tickets and that they let them in when everyone with tickets has has gone in. As seats allow. A man told us that everyone usually gets in. Does that make sense??? lol I sure hope so because I have 2 that are going to have to wait! Glad you got a letter and your SR is doing good! I got a letter yesterday and he didn't mention strep throat but did mention pinkeye. Hope you have a good weekend!
Welcome skeezix you will love this site and this group....

Finally heard from husband... got 2 day letter.... sooo positive...he said the division is doing great!!!! was starting hell week Tues.(this past) and he was looking forward to it....about their hair cuts that he loves...lol (he always wore a buzz) and he went one time and got a navy cut with his brother in law....He also made a request that we join him Sunday during Liberty to his church services he has been attending. he noticed this past sunday how the balcony was full of recruits and their family...He mentioned BS's but didnt specify dates he did say by the last week they would be finished with all of the hard stuff. he also mentioned their RDC's are a legend (something like that ) and are really tight on inspections... just means our guys are the tops....!!!!!... ohh he was missing driving.... his Chevy truck.....and of course his playstation 3 ..lol.... He didnt mention anyone being sick ... or him being sick so I am thankful for that...well back to work... and waiting for daughter to get into real labor....lol
That is awesome news! Glad to hear things are turning around and they are finally pulling together. It takes time when you have so many different walks of life thrown together. My SR said he was getting almost OCD with cleaning and that I should appreciate that, lol (And of course I do).

Hope all goes well with the delivery!!!
