Geesh I guess my timing is bad I called again they got the same person, she got someone else and they still would not tell me. She said not to believe everything you hear on the web. I said these are real moms I am talking to, she just said oh....So I call the recruiter and he is not answering his phone.........What am I doing wrong?
Janeen - you're not doing anything wrong! Or if you are, I'm doing the same thing!!!! I called the same # as everybody else, got two different people, and neither one of them would give me any info (thank goodness they didn't cite privacy laws or I would have had to challenge them - I've got my son's power of attorney AND I'm a paralegal!) I also called my son's recruiter who is out of town and was no help. Yep, today is definitely NOT a good day. Let's hope we get some word tomorrow.
Hi Suzanne Well fed Ex just delivered the box......wow thought I was ready then I opened it and they sent back his new tennis shoes back that they said he could bring??? Now I am really confused. I too cannot get a hold of a recruiter even called the main office and they have no clue why I can get a hold of anyone Took Adams name but I still have not heard a thing from anyone. I guess we got the wrong people on our block. Well another day of tears and the knotted stomach I guess. Thanks for the reply I think being here is the only thing that keeps me upright :-(
Janeen and Suzanne,
I am so sorry you are both having a bad day. They need to give you an address, that is making me mad! I am still teary today. The only thing helping me is that we are totally swamped at work today.
Thanks Janeen for letting me know that you got the Fed Ex box. I'm about to bird-dog (that's Southern girl language for "hunt down") the Fed Ex driver who delivers to my area! I can't wait to see what was returned. I'm pretty sure its gonna be most of the stuff they told him to bring. Oh well, I can use most of it here. Here's hoping tomorrow is better day for us. I think I'm gonna use my time tonight to do an internet search for the patron saint of hysterical boot camp moms. Suzanne
Well if you find that Saint send her this way and I love the term bird-dog!!!!
I, too, called and they would not give me any info, citing privacy act.... I asked who I could talk to in order to get the information, and she rudely said "Your husband can write to you on Sundays. He will send you his address" I felt like crying but still had hope... i called his recruiter, got him on the line and he said that Dustin wasn't in the system yet... he said the system had been down all morning, but it was back up and Dustin still wasnt in it yet, probably b/c his was still in processing..... He said to call him back if I don't hear from him by Wednesday...ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I feel so sad... I just don't want Dustin to be the only one not getting letters.... I need him to know how much we love him and how proud we are... Maybe even more importantly, I NEED to know that he is reading my words, because writing those words down are the only thing keeping me going... I feel like such a basketcase... I hope to God this gets better soon.... I just feel absolutely heartbroken...
Shannon - don't worry, your husband isn't the only one not getting any letters, neither is my son because I don't have his address either! I have an idea how frustrated you may be. Hang in there. This has got to get better.
Well popping in for a quick hello, Kids are eating lunch(my daycare) Sure is quiet here today Has anyone had any news??? Suzanne, Shannon? Hope their system is up so we can get our sons info. I still haven heard from a recruiter yet . My husband called and left messages also but nothing.
am right there with ya my heart feels like its being ripped out of my chest. And we will make it through cause we are moms and we are here for Our kids(Convicing myself here) Wow the phone rang and I jumped of course its just the refrig repair calling but I still jump. Does anyone else do that?
Well going to get these kiddles down for nap talk to ya soon Hope your all doing OK Janeen
still nothing... i just got off the phone w/ one of his recruiters and he said he wasnt in the system... he said "i have your phone number. I'll call you when I hear something"... He wont call me!!! when I called him today, he said "oh yeah, let me check on that today"... I think tomorrow I'm going to drive 25 min to that recruiting station and walk in with a tear stained face... maybe that will get him moving... lol. Janeen, you got the box??? How was it? Did you get the form letter with it? I guess not, since you still don't have his address either. Hope you are having as good of a day as possible :)
Oh the box...yea it came yesterday no form letter or anything All I could do was rip it open and hold all Adams clothes close to me..I wish I could run down to the recruiter office too but they moved and you cannot get a hold of them. I feel like they sent my son off and then dissapeared.
Hi guys, I just got Marc's mailing address!
I had emailed his recruiter yesterday and no word.
So today I emailed him again and he got back right to me!
So he must have passed everything since he is now on/in:
Ship 14
Div 336
Am so so happy!
Am now trying to get my letters printed off here at my Mom's retirement apts. place and isn't easy. But hope to get them printed and sent off to him today!

Hope all you guys get your address real soon. It is a good feeling now knowing I can at least at my end communicate with him. I am much happier now. So I want you guys to get to my happy stage too.

Carol
