Congratulations!!! I'm so happy for you! I bet you feel soooo relieved.
I'm about to call the public affairs office and really get on them! heehee ... wish me luck!
I just found out that there are more women from other threads that have also gotten the info from the public affairs office. Now i am starting to get really upset!
ok, so i called public affairs again and they were able to confirm that he was there (which i already knew) but once again said that I have to wait for him to write to me to get his address... GRRRRR....
i emailed his head recruiter telling him that pr said that he had access to the info (which they did!) and that I wanted a reply w/ his address, or i wanted a phone call.
I'm pretty proud of myself... I NEVER take the initiative... I always make Dustin do these things... Hmmm, I'm getting out of my comfort zone.
My name is Shawna. My husband also left for bootcamp on the 18th. I got a 10 second call around midnight. I still havent gotten his address or box either. =(. This has been a very long almost week. Hopefully I get some information soon. Im missing him like crazy.
Shawna Hang here with us we will help you through this. Maybe we should start a new thread in here like "Do You Know Where My Child Is?"
Thank you very much I really appriciate it. It is just really hard right now Im sick of crying infront of my friends and famiy. I know that we will get through this Its just taking a little while to adjust. I also have a four year old son that keeps telling me to pick him up. He just doesnt understand right now. Hopefully 8 weeks goes fast.
Hi Shawna... we can be miserable together! lol... i know, life has lost it's luster without my husband here. i just want that address soooo bad. I am beginning to feel obsessed about this!!!
Shawna,
just wanted to let you know there is a group on here called Navy Wives on N4M.... there are only 8 of us, it's a nice little group. You might want to check it out and join us.
Hang in there.
Shannon
OK, I got "the box" today! Hooray!! It was great just to see his stuff. I had a good laugh going thru it and trying to figure out why some stuff came back. Example: the deoderent came back, along with the toothbrush and toothpaste, but the shampoo didn't. Hello???? Didn't he just get his hair shaved off??? What's he gonna do with the shampoo??? No form letter and no address. But at least I know that my son is in Great Lakes and is processing. This should hold me for a few days and then it will be back to "bird doggin" again...
I'm so glad you got the box Suzanne! was it soo wonderful?? i'm thinking I'll probably get mine tomorrow... I don't know if i'm looking forward to it or if I'm nervous for it.... a little of both i guess....
i keep giggling about the shampoo thing.... lol.
Shannon,
Glad to hear your giggling... I am sure anytime now you'll get something,or the recruiter will finally come through for you. I asked my son's recruiter today about the info and i guess the only way to get the info is thru each person recruiter because they have to enter both people's SSN , at least that is what he told me. Talk with you soon, can't wait to hear good news from you :)

Smiles,
Christy
Suzanne,
I am glad that you got it, You should get the address anytime. You keep up the bird doggin...lol Take Care..
Smiles,
Christy
