Welcome to Your Division!  I hope you will be able to attend the Meet and Greet.  Just to make it fun I hope you will take a little time and design a simple flag to represent your division at the Meet and Greet that will be used to designate your divisional table.  While we will all meet together as a PIR group it will help you find each other as a division as well!  Show your creativity!!   Each division will have some individual issues because each division will be unique.  I hope you find this discussion helpful and fun!!

I got my clothes box a few days ago, received letter today. Short and sweet. Can't wait to see him again. Just a worried mom here like the rest of us. I would love to have a meet and greet with everyone.
Hello, My son is Ship 7 Div 364, Got our form letter today with short note at the bottom of the page. So wonderful to read something from him.. His grad date 11/5. He has only been gone a week but seems like forever. The no contact/communication at the beginning makes it seem so Long..
My son joins with yours-- Ship 07 Divison 364. Got the box and the letter both today. I miss Alex, but one line in his little note at the bottom of the form letter truly stands out.."Mom, I'm so excited to be here" That really makes me happy. I'm so looking forward to seeing the man he is on his way to becoming in these next 7 weeks.
Jeanne (gkneemo, Alex's mom)
Miss my son Brian. His note said he was fine and Having Fun.. I know he was very excited to get things going. He had been a DEP since January. He was excited his ship date got moved up from late Oct. to Sept. Can't wait to get his first letter, and see him ...
HI everyone, how are you all doing? I am glad to meet some of the Moms that have sons in the same div. I am new to the Navy life also. what did your son's sign up to do? Mine signed up for Aviation Ordnance. I still just wondering what they are doing. and am hoping he is ok.
My son signed up for Corpsman too. I hope to meet you in November.
Hi Diana, I am also new to Navy, military life etc.. .This site has been really helpful. . Our son signed up for submarine machinist. He can't wait to get to sub school.
hello everyone ! i got my sons box lasy friday, he mus have worn the same socks for three days! when i opened the box i had to step back. Lol i got the letter monday, he says food is good not much sleep which must be really hard on him considering we refer to him as the lump in the bed. Quenton says he cant wait for boring stuff to end end and the fun to start. All joking aside (joke or cry are my options now) i really miss him alot my husband was in the navy (20 years ago) and it wasnt as hard on me as missing and worryong about a child .We did get a call from him today he needed some info on paper work that he had to ask us about the call was breif, he did say today is the first day of their "real' training. So i guess the Fun has started for our kids!
Welcome, welcome - mark this down as 1/1 so you can begin the count. That way when I post things about what week they do what things...you will kind of know what is going on. Tomorrow I will post week one and two summaries. I giggled about your socks because one of the things I learned if you take time to read back through the the main chat is they wear their initial sweats through all of processing without washing them. The way I count the days for my son that was 14. Nasty....my son was also a lump in the bed. I am so glad you are here and found your way to this discussion group. Please come out to the main group as well. We are one PIR group and I look forward to getting to know you!!
what do you mean 1/1 count?
Look how smart everyone is getting...you guys are navy strong already...lol!! Way to go with the infor!!
