For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Requesting prayers for my son. He wrote me last week that he was real sick with strep. Got a letter today stating that he had Mono and was in the hospital with an IV. He is hoping that he won't be set back. He was suppose to know yesterday. Please pray for him. Thank you

This isn't a family member, but a niece of my best friend had a baby a few weeks ago, his name is Kolten. He was born about the 3rd week of BC, just as our kids (or at least my son) was having their toughest time adjusting to the homesickness & new routine. Kolten was a month early & has a rare problem that his body could not adjust to the outside world, couldn't breathe, had an infection in his blood also. They air-evaced him to a special hospital & he was on a special machine to help him, but he only had a 20% chance of making it. HE DID! Luckily, he is a fighter- maybe someday he'll survive Navy BC, he's pretty tough. He's still fighting, although he is now being weaned off the machines & is fighting hard to stay alive & learn to eat. His progress has followed right along with our kids- and each day we are happy he's made it through one more day. The parallels hit me when they said that the goal date for going home is October 1- PIR. This little guy is tough, like our kids, and he's making it one day at a time. Please keep him in your prayers. HIs parents are Kayla & Aaron. thanks.
