A Navy Mother's Prayer

Tonight I lay me down to sleep,
I Pray, Oh Lord, Our Sailors you keep.
Hold them all safely in your arms,
Ward off those whom would do them harm.
Remind them, Oh Lord, that they're never alone,
and bring them soon, safely back to their home.
Give them all Strength and Courage, Oh Lord,
because the jobs they do are ever so hard.
Our precious children, so Strong and so Brave,
I pray, Oh Lord, their lives you will save.
Remember Oh Lord, they are close to our heart,
please shorten the time that we are apart.
Offer Fair Winds and Following Seas,
and Angels to guide them while they keep us ALL free

Saturday, October 3rd. For all our sick sailors, we pray that on God's will they get well pronto

The Sailors’ Psalm

"The Lord is my pilot, I shall not go adrift; He lighteth my passage
across dark channels; He steereth me through the deep waters, He
keepeth my log. He guideth me by the evening star for my safety's sake.
Yea, though I sail mid the thunders and tempest of life, I shall fear
no peril for Thou art with me. The vastness of thy sea upholds me.
Surely fair winds and safe harbors shall be found all the days of my
life; And I shall moor, fast, and secure, forever Amen.

God has not promised the sky will always be blue, flowers-strewn pathways all our lives through;
God has not promised sun without rain, joy without sorrow, peace without pain.
But God has promised strength for the day, rest for the labor, light for the way,
Grace for the trails, help from above, unfailing sympathy, undying love.

Each and everyone one of us is going through tough times right now,
but God is getting ready to bless us and our love ones In a way that only He can.
Keep the faith.

Father, I ask You to bless my N4M new friends, their relatives
and all our Sailors; show us a new revelation
of Your love and Power. God, I ask You to minister to us
at this very moment..
Where there is pain, give us peace & mercy.
Where there is self-doubt, release and renew our confidence through your grace.
Where there is need, I ask you to fulfill our needs.
Bless our homes, families, finances, our goings and comings.
In Jesus' Precious name. Amen!

" Lord, I know you are not confined by time, distance or any other circumstance, Thank you for keeping my son, and all the others in your tender loving care". He is faithful to keep what we have commited to him (Our Children).

Heavenly Father, today I affirm anew that the gift You gave to me - my children--I fully give back to you. I place them within Your hands and Your keeping. Continue to give me the wisdom I need to guide their steps on Your pathway and to help them know Your plan and purpose for their whole lives.
Knowing that I can bring to You the prayers of my heart--carrying with them the deepest longings and strongest desires--is a great blessing. You have heard my hearts cry for a family and you have given me, through my children, more than I could ask or dream. Thank You.
What a Blessing and joy each one is to me. They help me in so many ways to see and understand Your heart more clearly.
I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what i asked of Him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord. I Samuel 1:27-28
Realizing that our children are not ours but Gods is not easy to accept sometimes. Giving them back to God is not easy but at least you know they are in Good Hands.

Dear Lord, I thank You for this day, I thank You because I was able to hear my son's voice today.
Please keep him and all the sailors safe. Help them to start each day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude.
Let them make the best of each and every day to clear their minds so that they can hear from You.
Let them not whine and whimper about things they have no control over and give them the best response when they're pushed beyond their limits. We know that when they can't pray, you listen to their hearts. Keep them strong that they may help the weak... Keep them uplifted that they may have words of encouragement for others.
I pray for those that are lost and can't find their way. For those that are misjudged and misunderstood. For those who don't know You intimately. I pray for those that don't believe. I pray for peace, love and joy, because there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than You. Because every battle is in Your hands, oh God to fight
… Amen!

Comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendships to brighten your being, faith so that you can believe, confidence for when you doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the truth, love to complete your life. -- Lynnie Buttercup

A Sailor's Prayer

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
Grant no other sailor take
My shoes and socks before I wake.
Lord guard me in my slumber
And keep my hammock on its number.
May no clues nor lashings break
And let me down before I wake.
Keep me safely in thy sight
And grant no fire drill tonight.
And in the morning let me wake,
Breathing scents of sirloin steak.
God protect me in my dreams
And make this better than it seems.
Grant the time may swiftly fly
When myself shall rest on high.
In a snowy feather bed,
Where I long to rest my head,
Far away from all the scenes
And the smell of half-done beans.
Take me back into the land
Where they don't scrub down with sand,
Where no Demon Typhoon blows,
Where the women wash the clothes.
God thou knowest all my woes,
Feed me in my dying throes.
Take me back I'll promise then
Never to leave home again
