First at all, thanks for the opportunity to be part of this group. It really makes me feel connected some how to my son even I have not received the so wanted phone call, (Not the 1st - 30 seconds phone call), but the one from where I will be able to hear from him and to know how is he doing. Thru this site I've learned from the first time where to look for his cell phone after I have received the “box” two weeks ago.

If you have a daughter/son in this division I would love to hear from you.  I read somewhere that after 2 1/2 weeks I should be receiving a phone call from my son and I am anxiously waiting from that phone call. If any one has received a phone call already from a son/daughter from this division would you mind sharing it?

Oh well it seems our Ship 12 Div 342 Sailors are g&g..... what a bummer :-(
Got another letter from our Amanda today. Each one sounds better. It explains their Hell week, and her countdown. She is a grad & go - but goes to school right in Great Lakes, and has to report in Sunday I think. We will have all day Sat with her and Friday after grad. Not sure what there is to do in that area in such a small amount of time.
Williamstogo, My son is staying in GL also for A school
Got 10 min phone call last night and two letters today............my girl is grad n go and in there in GL for A school too!..........does anyone know if they get to come home for the holidays while in A school, or will it be done by then????

whoo hoo ready for PIR to get here!!!! oh Winnie talked to Sarah about Anthony last night and she said she knew him.................lol of course after I got his last name correct, hehehehe.

So proud of our Ship/div...........they are doing so well!...........sarah said she "might" get a 30min ph call this saturday.........god I hope so!

hugs all!
Thanks christina! I hope she doesn't think he's a geek or something! (LOL)! I hope they come home for the holidays! It's usually a given that they at least come home for one week. We have to wait and see!
Hey... what's wrong with Geeks? We make the world turn! LOL! ;)
You're not a Geek!!! LOL!!:) You are so funny Dana. I can't wait to meet you:)
LOL!! Ditto, Winniesam! :)
What is everyone doing right after graduation, on Saturday? I was trying to come up with a few ideas to run by my daughter as options. We are not familiar with this area, and I've been poking around the internet. Any thoughts? We'll have a rental car -
Hi S12-Div 342, -- Saturday Call - g&g
I've been a bit isolated-- currently visiting my mother in FL who has not internet and no car.... Well, got some friends to get her a car and she should be getting it today.... I have one of her friends to drive to the library...I have been following the conversations thru my phone, but it is very hard to log in.....Well, spoke with Christian real quick on Saturday and he confirmed that he is g&g.... We will just be able to spend Friday together after the graduation because they are leaving on Saturday. He was very dissapointed he could not walk us around Chicago wearing his uniform (tan).. but the good thing is that he will be stationed in CT for 18 months, which will make it easier for us to visit (either way) specially his girlfriend who leaves in CT...... Oh well, my time is off I will check back in on Tuesday night when I get back to Jersey....

Williamstogo - since my son is going to be stationed in CT, my mother, sister (hubby will come on Friday night) are planning to stay anyway as originally planned in Chicago and do some site seeing......will your daughter be able to be out on Saturday?
BTW, I am also looking for my Navy N/cracker... :-)
You all take care!....
christina b.-- Molly said your daughter is not her bunk mate but is in the rack next to her . So she knows her pretty well. Will you be at the m&g at Anatascias on Oct 14? Since Molly is leaving for SC on Sat am. we will not get to spend any time with her. She said they can't even leave the base on Friday. Is there a hospitality room where we can visit with her on Friday? Does anyone know? I can't imagine what we will do.
awesome.........unfortunately if we don't get a call tonight from Sarah we will not be in chicago...she missed her running test by 20 seconds.....she is re-testing or did today, so we are waiting for a call, if we get no call, we have instructions NOT to come to Chicago this week.

I have been depressed since last Wednesday............but praying really hard we get a call tonight.
