Hi!
My daughter didn't go to school in Keller...my girl went in 9.13 and PIR is11.5. Looking forward to meeting lots of other families here.
I haven't heard from her except for the "info letter". I know she is strong as am I....lust keeping lots of positive thoughts for all of these recruits!!!!!
I missed a phone call from mine this morning I had no idea she would be able to call this soon. She just arrived 9/21 I will not be without that phone again,I am just sick I missed it. I have not recd info letter yet. I have cried enough gotta be strong I know she is strong and bullheaded just like her mom. So Keep your phones in hand you never know when you will get a call.
I am jealous! I haven't received a call or a letter....did you send a phone card or envelopes/stamps etc? I did today just in case. I read different things about how I should or shouldn't...and maybe she does/doesn't have them supplied to her!!!!
So it can't hurt!
I'm sorry you missed the call, but I hope you at least got a message to listen to!!!! Your daughter went in a week after mine! That's great. I have read some divisions do things differently as far as what is allowed and when, so everything for a reason and I know this is but a small frame of time to be without contact.....this too shall pass....
Thanks for the encouraging words. I guess she got a phone card at the NEX she did not take one,she did take stamps but like you I am sending a phone card envelopes with stamps and paper I to have read alot of different things. Just waiting for her address so I can start mailing all the letters I have written. Yes I did get a message she said the first week sucked, and just watch for the 847 area code phone calls it would be her and I love you Bye. I do keep telling myself - This too shall pass. Hope you get a call or letter soon. Hang in there!
Daughter Madison Arrived BC 9/21/10 Lewisville
Son is is bc now PIR 10/8 so we're on the countdown!!! Can't wait to get to GL and see my SR. We're in Keller.
I'm in Farmersville-between Wylie & Farmersville just outside of Copeville to be exact. My son is in Maryland at Ft. Mead - we're not newbies - just new to the N4M site - he's been in for 13 years. I'm loving that I'm finally finding some N. Texas mom's on here! Does anyone have a CT rated sailor?
My son is in bootcamp and has PIR on Nov. 5. Anyone with some good ideas for PIR, please let me know. I cannot wait to meet parents who are in the same situation that I'm in. I feel very lost and alone without my boy. I'm in Arlington.
Hi!! My daughter is in BC with PIR 11.5 too!!!!
My son is Cole, His PIR date is 10/8/2010 we cant wait to see him, McKinney, Texas
Sunnydq - when we drove up for PIR (many years ago) - it was beautiful! We thought we'd take Jeremy out to eat at a nice restaurant but decided to let him decide where - we ended up at Taco Bell!!! There's a Mills Mall (exactly like Grapevine Mills), a 6 Flags, and lots of other stuff to see & do (we never made it to downtown & heard we missed a lot down there!). One thing I really enjoyed was just being able to drive around the base - it's beautiful up there!

You will wonder how in the world will you find your son in the sea of faces but don't worry - you will! Just enjoy being able to hug them & talk to them in person! Do be ready to cry though. I started the minute we drove on base & saw all these baby faced kids - hundreds & hundreds of them!!

We moved from Arlington when Jeremy left for bc in 1997. Have toured the metroplex since then!
I'm from Dallas and my son is still in BC, graduates on October 15th!
