For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

just looked at the recruit graduation schedule and the last three PIR dates currently scheduled had division numbers as follows:
TG 50 — 9 Divisions (349–354, 823, 949 & 950) Graduate Friday, Oct. 29, 2010
TG 51 — 13 Divisions (355–364, 824, 825 & 951) Graduate Friday, Nov. 5, 2010
TG 52 — 7 Divisions (365–370 & 952) Graduate Friday, Nov. 12, 2010
But it sounds like people here are getting smaller numbers than that. I wonder if the Navy started over with numbers?

Well, I still haven't gotten anything for my son but hopefully tomorrow. Will be interesting to see what number he is assigned to.

Well, it looks like my sons box went to his father's house yesterday. I was really looking forward to getting it. Oh, well. Justin was staying with his Dad when he enlisted so I guess that is the address they used. I suppose that means the paperwork with his address will go there too.

I feel for you, srm! Getting that teeny note on the bottom of the form letter meant a lot to me! Do hope you find out his address soon so you can write. And if the sailors with the temporary div. get moved to 370, they'll be with my son:)

My son is also Ship 11 Div 001. Also a short note from him with a small line "no news is good news". That sounded ominous. I could tell from his note he's enjoying everything. I'm lucky he went off to college first, so I'm used to him being away for long periods of time. Miss being able to call him and see if he's okay. I was low after the "kid in the box". It was like he disappeared and that was all that was left. Can't wait for graduation!

Oh, I didn't know that grad n go is not known till that late. Trying to decide how long to book hotel for. If he's grad n go, guess we would leave on Sat. afternoon, but if he's not, would like to stay till Sunday to spend more time. He is Nuke--are they more likely to be g&g because they go to Charleston, SC for A-school?

Hey Savannahgal..my son is Nuke too. His PIR is 11/19..when is yours again? I HOPE mine isn't grab and go but if he is, I noticed ALL the hotels have a cancel by 4pm same day policy. I went ahead and booked Thur - Sun and will cancel if need be.

Loreta, his is 11/12, strangely enough. Thought it would be 11/19 by counting days but guess not. Good to know about the cancellation policy! Now if I could just know he's doing ok, I might feel better about making these reservations.
