Hi Ladies and Gents (too) !

Just moving this discussion over from the Leaving from Boot Camp in August Page since it makes more sense to have it hear now!

Please join so we can all stay together and support each other through this!  Has anyone in this group received a letter or phone call yet?

I'm still waiting on that letter. Being in Florida might be making the difference right now. but I'm trying to be patient-not doing a very good job :)

Hi all! Been crazy busy and not on a lot and find that I'm communicating with you more on Facebook. Received letters on Friday, but not a lot of info for once. Still waiting for a confirmation on BS, if Division 331 and 332 are going Thursday 9/30 then we should be Friday,. 10/1 and that would confirm when J said he was pretty sure that 333's was going to be on Friday (told me that weeks ago). I normally get letters Monday or Tuesday so, if I get the news I'll share. I think these last 10 days will be emotional for us all and pray that everyone gets through them well! I can't believe that it is only 11 days to see our angels, who will have transformed into hero's! Hope to meet all of you and share in your joy and happiness!
Thanks for posting the info on BS. Somewhere I read they "thought" it was tomorrow (Monday) but for some reason I don't know where I read that. Well Friday seems like it would be on target, plus when I got a letter this past week on Wednesday my son was "very sick" so maybe this will give him a little more time to get better!! The next 11 days or so will probably seem longer than the past 6 weeks!!! I will be glad when it is over and they can all "start" their Navy careers !!! Have a great Sunday!
Maribeth- I sure hope he gets better soon! I know that has been so tough on you! I don't know if this will comfort you or not, but my son's recruiter said that any of them that were sick before they went into the gas chamber will not be sick after they get out. They laughed but said generally it was true... guess that tear gas has a way of killing the germs! Like I said, I hope that doesn't upset you more... was hoping it might help! Mine mentioned late last week that he was getting the sickness but then in future letters, he hasn't brought it up and also said he would everything possible not to go to medical. Here's to a great week ladies.. next weekend we can probably really start the packing process! <3
Thanks actually that does make me feel bettr - believe it or not!!! At this point I am thinking "no news is good news"..... I for one will be glad when this week is over....and then we will be heading into graduation week!!!
Wow, that is interesting about the gas chamber, I hadn't heard that. One more full week and then a week of prep. It's finally just around the corner! Here's to this week going fast!!!
Hi Ladies, received a letter from Jake yesterday. In it he indicated that now he hears that their Battle Stations is now going to be Sunday Night into Monday Morning. Have any of you received this info or any different information? Thanks in advance...Have a blessed day!
Thank you! My last letter didn't talk about battle stations at all. If I hear anything I will certainly post it. I would actually like it if it was then. The sooner I know everything is ok, the better!
Hi ladies, This is the first time posting on this site for me, but I 've been following it daily. I recieved a letter from my son on Sat, which was probably the longest letter yet. It was dated Sept 21st, he mentioned that Fire fighting was this week and gas chambers next. He only stated that battle stations was the very last thing. I was very proud to read in his letter that he had the 2nd highest avg on tests in his division. Which is good for 82 people. So I'm assuming that they did'nt lose too many people in his division? Does anyone know about the pictures? He said they have not ordered any yet. Thought i'd share this with all you, every letter that I have recieved always has a pharagraph about his cell phone. I think he's really missing it. My letters always end with a p.s. I know son I won't forget your cell phone. and it will be fully charged. Oct 8th cannot get here fast enough.
Hi proudnavymom - I sent you a friend request! My son said the same thing about not losing very many in their division. As far as the pictures go, there is a discussion on the PIR 10/08/10 page that gives out the information. You will have to click on view all and page back until you see it (was on page 4). It gives the prices and what comes with what and also the contact information. This is a great site - don't know how mom's do it without it!

Kelli
Just called Recruit Training Command to Find out when Division 333 will be
doing their Battle Stations seems we will be done next week some time.
Yes, someone posted that Div 334 was doing them on Monday and I believe our division is a "sister" division with 334 so I was thinking Monday will be our SRs day! Thanks for the info!!!
I'm surprised they would tell you anything. Wow!!
