Can someone please tell me how long C school is for Pharmacy Tech is? I have been looking around and can not find the answer anywhere. Thanks in advance!

Shane, I called Naval Medical Center Portsmouth & asked a sailor/pharmacy tech. He says six months, & it's in San Antonio, TX.
Pharmacy Technician School: (http://navmedmpte.med.navy.mil/nshs-ps/schools/pharm.cfm)
Course Length: 23 weeks.
Contact Hours: 445 Didactic, 291 Laboratory, 104 Clinical
Classes Per Year: 3
Class Capacity: 25 Students
Thank you both for the information! My wife is currently in A school right now as an HM ans she ultimately wants to be a Pharmacy Tech. I wasn't aware of it being in San Antonio, TX. My wife said it was in Virginia. That would be great if it is in San Antonio considering my brother lives there. He is actually an instructor for Army Medics.

Do the same rules apply to C school as A school? Will the Navy move my daughter and I to the C school location to be with my wife or will we have to pay out of pocket like we had to do for A school?
hey vettespace that link isn't working for me. Could you possibly double check it for me? Thanks again for the information!
The tech said it used to be in Virginia. However, I wouldn't take it for gospel. Your wife should ask her A school instructors (wondering why they didn't know about school length, by the way?)
I doubt your move is covered as school is temporary and not a PCS (Permanent Change of Station). You might look here for info http://www.militaryhomefront.dod.mil/portal/page/mhf/MHF/MHF_HOME_1...
Hi Shane,
Sorry about the link...it's an old link to when the school was in VA. Marcy's correct, the school is now at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio. I think that this is the link to the branch that does the training but it only has contact info.
