Welcome to Your Division!  I hope you will be able to attend the Meet and Greet.  Just to make it fun I hope you will take a little time and design a simple flag to represent your division at the Meet and Greet that will be used to designate your divisional table.  While we will all meet together as a PIR group it will help you find each other as a division as well!  Show your creativity!!   Each division will have some individual issues because each division will be unique.  I hope you find this discussion helpful and fun!!

Mere, How did you find out your boyfriend is now ship 11? My son's letter states ship 7/div 11 his pir is 11/05. I have searched all forums, groups and discussions. I cannot find any other mom's with a son or daughter on this ship and division. When I read your response, you said it was a wrong ship and your boyfriend was on a different ship. I have not received a phone call or any letters, so I feel like I am kind of hanging. Thanks.
I'm sorry i didn't see this post... it took me 20 mins to actually find it.. apparently im N4M challenged! ok well the form letter that i received from him after about a week into BC said ship 7 but he got a call about a week after i received that letter and told me he had the wrong ship number and that he was actually on ship 11.

i don't know why it was incorrect but i've changed it since then. I have not received any letters yet just 2 phone calls once last sunday (9/26/10) and another phone call yesterday (10/4/10). Monday is when he told me postage was messed up and the letters were remailed.

I hope this helps ya... this waiting makes us go crazy and if i didn't receive any phone calls i would have to be institutionalized :)
It started out as ship 7 and then was changed to ship 11, however I talked to the folks at RTC and they said this would not stop the recruit from getting mail...however prior to PIR you need to know which ship it is for sure!! I think it is 11. I am going to talk to my contact and see if I can find out which ships are with what division.
Thanks for the information. I am going to call tomorrow to see if I can get this clarified. Thanks for all your efforts in helping me.
Lynne,
Where do I go to confirm that I and my husband would like to attend the meet and greet. I was in it several days ago and now I can't find it. I'll tell you I feel brain dead sometimes and I am really still trying to maneauver around this website. As you get older...it just takes a little longer
You can all his recruiter and make sure you have the right ship and division. If you havent received any phone calls it may be because they are not passing their test or their inspections. They have to earn phone calls. The letters should be coming in the mail sometime this week, there has been a problem in the mail room so no mail has gone out and any letters you have sent he has not received. I spoke to my husband Monday evening and he had not gotten anything from me but he thought they would get something this week.
Angelmarie, thanks for your reply. As I told Lynne, I am going to call RTC tomorrow, to try to get this resolved. If you hear anything else, please let me know. Thanks,Karen
If you find out anything new can u post it on here? I would like to know if anything has happened as far as the mail.
I definitely will!! I love sharing any and all info I can get at this point. That is why I so appreciate your response.
Karen - They WERE ship 7 when they first arrived. Once the division was assigned their permanent housing it became Ship 11. They WILL forward the mail!
I just got off the phone with RTC. I explained to the gentleman that I was trying to clarify what ship my son is on. He said "Ma'am, what is your purpose in the ship #, is it for mail?" I said I would like it for mail and to know for his PIR 11/05/10. He said all you need to know is the DIV number and for all family members on the list to bring their ID. So, like many of the responses, I felt good just to know that even though I haven't heard from Kyle, he will get his mail at somepoint and I don't have to concentrate so much on his ship #. I am not going to lie, I still want to know what it is, for whatever reason!?
I think it is ship 11, but I have been promised I will have an ahswer by tomorrow...we shall see...lol
