For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Ship 11 division 370 - Finally got letter.
So happy to report that I finally got a letter from my son Friday. Letter was short and he did not really say much about his experience thus far but he sounded good. Hoping others with a SR on ship 11 div 370 have also gotten a letter. Looking forward to 11-12. Hope all goes as scheduled.

WOO HOO, me too! Got a letter Friday, and phone call Saturday! He did say their division was a "push" division, graduating in a shorter time and having to learn things quickly. He was glad that he had passed swim and fitness tests, and was looking forward to the marksmanship, firefighting, and other "fun" things. I laughed when I read he was working on the uniform and rack (bunk) neatness. He was also excited about getting a paycheck on the 15th, to be able to start paying off his student loans from college. Gosh, it was great to talk to him, and totally a surprise -- call came while we were watching U. of South Carolina beat Alabama on Sat. He got a kick out of hearing that! I've been sending him football scores (NFL and college) and he has appreciated it and says the others in the div. as well. They have it tough, having less time to work on things and having to pay catch-up, compared to the other divs.

My son is also on Ship 11 and Div 370. I can't wait to see him on 11-12 !! I am really looking forward to that day. I miss him everyday. I think about what he is doing. I did receive my letter last Friday and a phone call Saturday. He sounded really good and I could tell alittle difference in his voice. I am so proud of my son ! But of course I am going to worry about him no matter where he is. That is just the mom in me.

I am so happy for you that you got a letter and were able to talk to him. I did not get a call from my son so many things are of course running through my mind. I know what you mean about the mom in you lol... I will always worry about my son too. The only reason I know of that some would call and some would not from the same division is if they are in trouble for something. That is what is bothering me. I just hope he is not having a hard time and is not in any trouble. This is a boy that NEVER got into any trouble at school or work so hard to imagine that he would start now? Hopefully a call will come soon to put my mind at ease.

proudmom89, our boy called his dad's cell today to tell him he was sick and had injured his knee, and that the div. was falling a fraction short of making 80% on some recent test they had. Therefore, he said they are getting extra PT, etc. Guess they have limited time to call, with making up the test and the extra work. Our boy even went so far as to caution us not to buy our plane tickets till we hear from him, and I think he meant that he may miss some things due to illness and may have to graduate later???? Sure hope not! It's an emotional roller coaster, isn't it? Hope you get your call soon!

I missed my boys call today. He got to talk to his da. Funny my husband said his voice sounded diffrent too. I miss him so much. I have been writing him 2 times a day. lol! It makes me feel better like I am talking to him. I did hear his div did misbehave quite a bit and he was suprised that they were able to call. He has passed everything so far. I can't wait to see him. I hope to meet the moms who have sons in the same div. I will also pray for your sons that God would give them strength to make it through.
