I called the recruiter today and received my daughters address.  Is this a temporary one??  He said she was on ship three, division 018.   She arrived October 6th for boot camp and her "kid in a box" arrived today.  Odd, she sent back things that were on her list to bring.  The  recruiter mentioned he might have her PIR date by Monday due to the holiday.

You can write to her at the address the recruiter gave you. When she writes to you (in about 3 weeks) there'll be a return address on her envelope and you should use that for future letters. Don't panic if it's a little different, she'll eventually get all her mail. The Division # is the important part. They always send back stuff they were told to bring, especially the females. No idea why, it just is. You'll receive official word on when her PIR date is in a few weeks, but keep in mind it's not set in stone. If she doesn't manage to fulfill all the requirements she could be set back a week or so. Doesn't happen often, but it does happen.
her PIR date may be 12/3 here is the link to the group http://www.navyformoms.com/group/pir12310 if her PIR is 12/10 then the PIR group hasn't been formed yet...YOU may have to form it

Yes, that list is old...all they need are the clothes on their back, calling card, some cash, ID and social...they can bring an address book, small bibile and a small religious medal (that can fit on dog tags)
