We have not recieved a "real" letter yet, though I am thinking (and praying) that we will hear from our RCT later this week. I am thinking that they were able to write for the first time this last Sunday, so depending on how long it takes for the mail to get to where each of us live.
Gee other Mom's received today....not me..you? Is your SR going to be Corpsman as well? I don't really know how it all works (still). I am in ME and it always takes a bit longer for letters to reach us. Please let me know if you hear anything!!! Are there others in our division?
Unfortunately no, we didn't receive a letter today either. I am hoping for a present in the mailbox tomorrow. Our SR is going into the Nuke program and he will be leaving for SC after PIR.

There must be others in our SR's division, but I certainly don't see many comments from them. It looks like there are other divisions that have many people posting comments, but ours appears to be rather inactive. I wonder why?
I think I have found 3 maybe 4...that is all. Sure hoping for the letter. My sailor is Medical Corpsman,,,staying in GL for A school. Great to connect with you...hope for mail!
My son is in Div 015, also staying in GL for ASchool... for hospital corpsman.
Our sailors must be friends....same destination same Division. I look forward to meeting everyone 12/3!
Congrats! Good sign they let them write Sunday I guess....thanks!
wow cindy you are VERY lucky! I rush right home everyday and still nothing....MEsailormom my son is also going to be a corpsmen. he is going to be a hospital corpsmen. he will be staying in GL after PIR. Do you know if your sailor is staying in GL also? We are from OK so maybe thats why some are getting the letters sooner than others. we are just farther....and that stinks.....
Yes my sailor is staying in GL for A school. So great to connect with same Div AND same job. Yes Maine is far away but very worth it! Let's cross our fingers for today's mail!
boy i am starting to think i haven't made enough cookies for the mailman. still NO letter... this is very hard to get your hopes up everyday just to be disappointed by NO letter...
Thought there was no letter till the neighbor called. It was in her box. Reading....crying. Sniff. All is well. First week rough, Now he likes it and what he is becoming. Thinks his RTCs are the best! Wow !"They teach us GOOD and don't yell 24/7 like some". On head duty and in charge of everything trash, LOL. 12 recruits in that division...seems small? He says it is the best division in his opinion. He also said they may get a phone call this WEEK! OMG I feel better. dylansmom go check the neighbors box.
my sailor is staying in GL. Medical corpsman. It still leaves me w/ little info on time w/ him on PIR. Grab what I can.
