For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Me too! I thought I had it so together on Monday, when he left, but now I think my thoughts are all over the place. The only thing that keeps me going, is that I know that if there is a problem, I would have heard something. Even though I would love to hear something, I still keep thinking that it's good news that I haven't yet.

I know you are teasing, Betsy, and I really appreciated that you were there. I did read that they do march them alot after the shots, 3 in each arm and one in the bottom, so that the shots can be distributed in the muscle. oooo it sounds terrible. Kathy

If that's Penicllian shot I read in HCC that if your allergic you have to wear a sign saying you are allergic and you don't have to get it. Drew's allergic and so when he sees everyone else drop their pants I'm sure he will be happy :) Susan

I won't be able to be on here tonight ladies. I am sick, yuck! I made it through work with Dayquil and cough drops. I'm sure the fact that I haven't been able to sleep much the last few nights isn't helping. I pray that everyone makes it in tonight and that you get your phone calls. I'm sorry about those that were delayed because of the wind. I think that would be really hard to anticipate it for so long and have it put off by a day. We are under tornado warnings here in NC, 2 were spotted about 15 miles from here. I am trying to figure out how I can sleep and watch the news at the same time! I hope our kids get to sleep tonight. Feeling really bad for them right now :( Susan

Sorry you are feeling bad.
I was wondering, too if our kids will be able to go to bed tonight. I have also been thinking about them learning how to march in the rain today. I hope they get more than one smurf suit so they would have a chance to dry out.

Oh, Wendi, that reminds me what I read in HCC. They have to wear those smurf clothes so long that they all smell. I am talking days and days. lol. This is during processing. They march and build up a sweat and they have nothing else to wear. My poor stinky kid. He showers sometimes 3 times a day when he works out. I can just see his letter and the thing he hates most about BC is he can't shower much. lol. Kathy

haha. Yes, Haha, Brandon too. I had to keep throwing his tennis shoes in his room and he kept leaving them in the family room. Oh, they were rancid. You just have to love them. I can't wait to see what division they will be in. First thing Thurs morning I am calling the recruiter.

How long does it take to post the PIR dates? Will the recruiters know that at the end of the week or do we have to wait until we get the letter?

yes, everyone should change to enlisted. LoL. Adam belches loud. Someone else snores. I heard it is hard to sleep with all the noise. Also, there is a link to find out the PIR from what the Divison number is. I will find the link for everyone when we get the ship and division numbers.
