For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Kathy, I know what you mean. All of the sickness and injuries that can occur are worrisome. I can't imagine D running around with 2 broken feet and not telling anyone! Now, my 17 year old is another story. In the past 3 years of sports she has fractured her spine in 2 places, broken her nose 3 times, 5 broken fingers, broken hand and now a possible torn cartlidge in her knee. The only thing that slowed her down was the spine, which she missed about 6 months of sports. With the noses she re-set them herself during half-time and kept playing, the fingers were taped and the broken hand wasn't casted because she didn't want to miss her senior year of volleyball. The knee is still in a brace and is now headed into basketball season. But she is scared to death of needles and almost cryed when I told her how many shots Drew would get :) Susan

Betsy, Yes it's her senior year and volleyball is finished and she has basketball left. My prayer for the year was no broken bones, but that didn't happen with the hand and now the knee! :) Susan

I can understand that. Is she healed enough to be able to play basketball now?
Btw, my daughter, Michelle had her clavicle broken in half during basketball try-outs. I much larger girl ran smack into and it snapped in half. It sidelined Michelle the entire season, and the coach was pretty upset, because he really wanted her on the team. Thank goodness she was able to play the following year. (The girl that ran into her, didn't even make the team)

We think so. She has to where the brace for the rest of the season, but at least no surgery. That's horrible that she got hurt during try-outs!! What a mess. I bet the coach was upset! Susan

Wow, Susan, your daughter is amazing for still playing sports. Is she doing ok, now? Maybe she should take up swimming. You sure got to love her for her determination.
I was just checking when our kids called us from BC and yours was an hour before mine. Betsy got hers about two hours before mine. Wendi's was about the same time. All in all they were pretty close together. By the way, my husband is on his way over to the recruiting office to find out B's ship and div. I thought that was really nice of him to do that.
I keep working and then checking on everyone. It is so HARD to work this week.

I know Kathy! I feel so behind on my job, but I can't stay away from here. It's a lifeline. I am also hoping that since we got our calls close together then they will be in the same division. Susan

Betsy, don't worry your recruiter will be able to help you. Sometimes the other ones just don't want to look it up for you. Mine also said he should know by today. I am getting so excited to know. Also I noticed some of the Oct 4th moms got their box in three days. Those leaving monday got theirs Thursday. So look for your box today or tomorrow. Also when I find out the ship and div I will also change my name to KLM ship div. Please don't lose me. lol. Hugs. K

Sara, ever so interesting, I didn't get my phone call until midnight...even though they were at the same processing station at the same time... weird huh... makes you realize how many kids are going in all day long from all over the country. Although you feel crummy I am happy you got your phone call.
I think you make some valid points about security...really these pages are the ones that the recruiters would have access to, and I don't think we say anything that would reflect badly on our kids. But, I agree, our pages should definitely be set to private.
