For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome Ashlei.louise, I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Since you know your husband's ship and division numbers if you place them in your user name anyone in the same division will notice and contact you. I know we have at least 2 more in your division. This is a wonderful place and the moms and wifes are very supportive. I am so proud of our children and husbands that have decided to serve our country. Hugs. Kathy

You are very welcome, D, and I like your new user name. I wasn't going to get back on tonight but I just had to open the "box" I received this morning from my son. I took everything out and the cat sniffed it all and I checked all the pockets to make sure they were empty. I found 3 quarters, lol, took pictures of the cat investigating his clothes which were now on the floor. I put my camera away and was looking at the box and saw some writing on one of the inside flaps. I went over to look and written there was "Love you all". Bless his heart. He found a way to leave a note to us. I love him so much. These memories are going to be priceless. Hugs. K

What a nice surprise! I definatley teared up on the message left in the box. I'm sure this time next week we will all be making our traveling plans or already have done it lol.

Thank you, Donna, Susan, and Betsy, It was quite moving and it did make me cry. I uploaded a picture of it, lol, and the cat (Blue) sniffing the contents on the floor. I guess it will be approved by tomorrow. My doggy (died 3 years ago) and cat sylvester (she is 17 years old now) is already on there I think. What a ride we are on. I should have opened it in the morning because I couldn't get to sleep and had to watch the boot camp videos again an read HCC. Hugs. K

I'm still waiting for word. My son also left 10/25, so he's probably 12/17, too. My ex is the one likely to get the letter, though, so I won't know for sure until he deigns to tell me.

My daughter left from the Houston area, as well. Do you know what part of Houston. Our situation was a little different. We stopped by an office at an "off" time and the only person available to talk to us was the recruiters' supervisor. He spent alot of time w/ us and I let him know I was not going to be happy if he "dumped" her on someone else. He took care of her through the entire process (which was NOT his job). I could ask if there is anyway he could look into your situation. Not sure if it would work but I would be happy to try...

If you know what city his recruiter is from you can look up the recruiting office information on the Internet; there should be a phone number listed there - try and contact the recruiting office and tell them you are X recruits mother and seeking to get his Ship/Div # so you can write him. LoLo
