Some of our N4Ms of the 12/17 and the 12/22 PIRs are choosing to purchase a beautiful and fun, bright pink scarf to wear in Great Lakes at the Meet and Greet and/or Graduation. This scarf will have 2 purposes; the first being to keep our necks warm in the December cold; the second and most important, to identify each other. This scarf symbolizes a bond of friendship, formed by women from all over the United States of America, once strangers, and now friends. These friends are Mothers, Fiancés, Wives and Girlfriends with a common thread; that being a Seaman Recruit of the United States Navy. By the time we wear and proudly display this symbol of friendship, our Seaman Recruits will be Sailors Girls! Join the fun and purchase your scarf at Old Navy http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=60954&vid=1&pi...

Time to go pink scarf shopping. ;D
Yes, they are really cute too. If you can find an Old Navy near you, call and see if they have it in stock to save on shipping!!

I am Nancy by the way. I don't think we have met. I was on the 12/17 group until I found out my son WON'T graduate with those kids. So now I am here, hoping that he WILL graduate with that group. I think his chances are pretty good.
I don't do anything all day long, so I'll probably go tomorrow - been meaning to go to Old Navy anyway for new sweaters. :)

When did your son ship out? My husband left last Thursday & he's Div32, so I'm betting that your boy will graduate with us. ;)
my son left 10/27 he is in div028
I think it is a great idea. I will try to knit on if I finish his flag afghan in time. If not I will have to go shopping. Oh the pain. lol
Achoo! I am allergic to pink.. lol. JK
Thank you for sharing, I made my purchase. Kim
Ladies, just wanted to let you all know that the pink scarf from Old Navy is now on sale for $6.25! I was in there tonight, but I'm not sure how long the sale will last.
Thanks! Totally going tomorrow. I've been looking at other places, but I am so in love with this color.
Priscilla, its a wonderful scarf. I actually bought mine a few weeks ago and have worn it a couple of times to my daughters early morning softball games. Keeps you very cozy and looks great too :)
