For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Tyler is on the Reuben James but Division 904. He said that he wouldn't get to call for three weeks. One down.
:( I can't wait until my first call. I carry my phone with me all the time so scared that I'll miss his call. What time of the day/night did he call?

He called Friday at 4:00 MST/6:00 CDT and then the following Sunday around 12:30 MST/1:30 CST.

My son is on your son's ship, and he loves it! It is sooo comforting knowing they will be okay! I still have my moments, but after hearing from him it's not as bad as in the beginning. With PIR on the 22nd, has anyone heard if they'll be home for Christmas?

My appologies TysMom and anyone else, for any confusion on the 22nd PIR date I wrote, I thought I was replying to BarbZ Ship 02/Div 906, our son's are on the same ship with PIR on the 22nd. The good news is he will be home for Christmas. Just got confirmation on that from my son. :)

My daughter made it to BC on Oct 28th, was supposed to be the 27th but flights were canceled due to weather. So, I guess the wait begins. Finding belongings of hers about the house as I go through my day is making it harder of course. And everytime the phone rings and I realize that it can't be her, or I pick up the phone to text or call her and remember that I can't. Hopefully it gets easier.

Hello Suzis, I think it may get easier. Honestly I dont know, my son was scheduled to ship out th 26th, the O'hare was shut down due to bad weather, so he was delayed in Richmond, VA until the 27th. He left Richmond at 2pm and arrived in Chicago at the Base at 12:23am. which is technically 10/28. He called me today and I was driving but he did say that his PIR date was 12-22. I am hoping that they are trying to scare him and that his actual date is 12/17. My son is 25 married and lived with his wife and daughter, but I still had a melt down yesterday. I was on line constantly checking PIR dates of other mothers and everyone already had their information. I called my daughterinlaw last night and she had not heard from son either, so the melt down began. After I spoke with him today, I felt much better and relaxed. No melt down today. And BTW, I didn't even melt down when we left him Tues, I held it together until last night. One little 20 min phone call made the world of difference to me. I hope this is helpful to you. Yes, TysMom, I was so happy and that 20 mins. felt so short. His sisters wanted to talk with him, but he was trying to give me his important information and only had 5 mins left to reach his wife and child.
That little 20 mins. gave me a full night's sleep!
