Neat! I used to live in West Virginia :)
navygirlfriend, I forgot to tell you that someone in our group found pink scarves at Old Navy and the majority of us purchased them so we could wear them on graduation day and there is another navy mom name LaLa Ribbon Queen, who makes beautiful blue ribbons and places the sailor's name and div and PIR date on the ribbons. If you are interested.

Kim
That sounds like an awesome idea! I'll make sure to get one for me and his mom, thank you! And the ribbon thing sounds very cool as well
Navygirlfriend, LaLa Ribbon queen has her own page on navy for moms site.

Kim
I'll look it up, thanks!
you are welcome!

Kim
I just got my first letters yesterday ( yay!) But in them, my boyfriend said something about the division maybe not graduating on time? Has anyone heard this as well??
I didn't hear anything about this, i just got my letters yesterday..got four of them :) crying happy tears. But the latest one he dated was nov 8th, so not sure until tmwr.

I've been addressing the address a little off,
but can someone tell me if it's ok?

SR (last name), (first name) (middle initial)
Ship 03 Div 025
Recruit Training Command
3600 Ohio St.
Great Lakes, IL 60088-3156

since i got his letters, i'm gonna make the correction of adding "uss hopper" and deleting " recruit training command" but do you still think he's getting his letters?

it makes me anxious not knowing, so pleaseee let me know :) thank you ladies
That address is the one I have been sending my letters too as well. I am not sure if they are getting their letters :/ But since it's not so far off, I wouldn't think its a big deal, but I am not sure.
Congrats on getting your letters :) I got about..10 haha. He wrote me almost every day :)
I got two new ones today :) he says that theres alot of drama going on, :/
i went up to a post office (a nervous wreck, of course) and asked if they think it'll still make it to him.
he said yeah, just next time write down exactly where he's sending from, and i did. :)
written him everyday, i hope he's getting my letters.
been sending alot of pictures and much love.
only so many more days till we see em :)
oh and, do you know navygirlfriend if he has gotten your letters yet?
i'm not sure if he has gotten mine, or if he's allowed to receive, but he said last week that some ppl were receiving some and it was really frustrating not getting any mail.
Hello ladies, do your recruit take stamps with him to boot camp. I am not certain if they give them to them or not, my son took stamps.
