This will be held the week of PIR for this group because of the Thanksgiving holiday.  Normally, they would have started that Thurs night (a week before PIR).  But not with Thanksgiving that day.  There are none on Fri or Sat nights, so they should start for your recruits on Sunday night, Nov 28th.  Please start asking your recruits for the date their division will go through.

They can go through with 2 divisions, 3 divisions, or 4 divisions.  The 800 and 900 divisions can go with 2 brother divisions, or with each other.

Here is a great link so you know what they do during this time:

Please post below and on the main board when you get a date! for your division---make sure to put the division number that you are reporting for.  I will keep a schedule on here and Sherri can start one on the main page too.

My son earned a phone call home 4 days ago and he said his division was doing Battlestations the night before Thanksgiving! He will have been up for over 24 hours when we come to pick him up for the day. Poor thing... he said he'll be fine but I can only imagine how he'll be after eating that turkey sedative! It was great to hear from him. Things are wrapping up now, they're earning their flags for PIR, earning ribbons for their uniforms through inspections etc. so at least they are being rewarded and not just corrected... He is in ship 09, division 010.
Thanks, Emily. I will remove the question for that day!
I'm so glad!! I hated to think they would have been up for Thanksgiving....plus since it's a "day off" like you said, it was odd that it'd be that night...glad it will be Tues! How's Nate and what's up?? What's he going to do now?? You can message me if you'd like!
Thanks Emily. My son is in your son's division so I am glad to hear he will be doing his all nighter on Tuesday rather than Wednesday. No wonder he talks about this Navy for Mom's website. We know more than they do! LOL
Ok I have to ask: if they have BS21 on the 23rd, their graduation on the 3rd, then what are they doing in between those days? Would they be done with BC? and move to another ship or div? Did I make sense? LOL Lucky for those then because they are gonna have time to plan their trip...;) Well thats good for Nov 23rd Div 09 & 10 Would you say they were in the "RUSH DIV"? If this is right my son would have it in Nov 30th that sucks!! BUT I AM HAPPY FOR ALL OF YOU who had it better;) We all in this toguether!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO JEALOUS in a good way:) GOD help them get trough.
they're practicing their marching!
Yep, Julsburd is correct! Bootcamp is done for them...well, they still have their chores, practice for PIR, etc,, but no more tests to pass. My son also went on the first night when he was at bc. He loved it...pressure was off and he was very relaxed. He actually got to call home again that last week (during their pizza party). But, all is well with the others too. They will all be sailors soon and that's what counts! The Captains Cup on that Sat. (before PIR) is a nice break for all of them.
As in Nov 9th my son's last letter he mention they still have; live fire, some inspection drill, confidence chamber, fire fighting, damage and BS 21, now my question is: All of this is suppose to happen before Thanksgiving? Will be so nice if all the Div's get to finish at the same time!!! What a wonderful Thanksgiving ;) NO MORE TESTES!!!
The divisions usually don't all finish exactly the same time, but close. Some may even have final PFA on Monday of PIR week. They may lose some time because of Thanksgiving the week before as far as finishing up tests. Div 9 and 10 would be the only ones for sure finished before Thanksgiving since they are doing their BStations before Thanksgiving. All tests have to be passed in order to go through BStations.
It is held the Sat. before PIR for that PIR group. All divisions participate. It is a fun day, very competitive, with sporting events. Recruits volunteer for the different events. Then a division wins the Captain's Cup! It really is a nice break from all of the intensity that they have been through, and especially for the ones getting ready to start BattleStations. That is the reason there are no BattleStations on Fri or Sat nights.
yes...it seems everyone loves the Captains Cup!! Will be a fun day for them...probably be very competitive for them though:)
I wonder if this group will be doing Captain's Cup this weekend since next weekend in Thanksgiving weekend? Anyone know?
