Hi any other moms from this division?
same as yours 1/7/11
Wow that must be hard to have 2 away at the same time. We live outside of Pensacola, I was hoping that my son would be 12/17, but God has other plans for us. We are debating driving vs flying.
I dont know if I replied before but my son is in this division. I just received my first letter from him yesterday.
My son is also ship 12/div 034
Hello! My boyfriend is ship12 div 034. PIR date of 01/07/2011

I have only received the one letter and no phone call (he called his mom for the "I'm here" call). Missing him very much and anxious to here from him. Have any of you gotten another letter? Or a second call?
We got the "box" and I missed his call on Saturday. But I am writing every day. Stalking the mailman. hehe
I have written almost every day but have only mailed the first two out. I heard that their RDCs (I think thats what they're called) hold the letters we send for up to 3 weeks...
I feel so bad my letters are so full of questions and concerns. I know I need to send words of encouragement and happy thoughts...
Find funny things to send him and positive vibes- I have been finding funny Navy cartoons to print out for him. Some of the Moms have made up questionnaires to send them. those are good. I went to Walmart and found all kinds of cards to send- but I was bad and if there were cards that had colored envelopes - I found white ones that had more envelopes than cards and changed. Only the ones that had more envelopes than cards, if more cards than envelopes nope didnt take those. that would be wrong hahaha
Thats a great idea. Time efficient and informative! Are we allowed to send photos?
I have heard that they can catch a lot of flack for what they receive in the mail (like the colored envelops and sound cards). Very smart of you to swap them out! and super nice to make sure the ratio was alright to do so!
Salma please come and join in the actual 01-07-2011 site and not just on here.... we would love your interaction! I have not see a post from you. Also I have a lot of great info on there and some of us old planks who can help you with your questions. Welcome - and woooow 2 at one time! geepers Hey also there is a place for 033 here in the forum too if you want to find out who else is in that Div. you are welcome of course on any and all forums..
