My son is in this Div. He arrived on 10/26.
Hey there! so... what will your son be incharge of at graduation?
He told me that he would be part of the honor guard. Very excited to see him, im counting down the days.
Hi,
My son is also in Div: 906 he's a section leader and will be performing in the honor guard during the PIR/Graduation Ceremony 12/22/10. He is then going on holiday leave. His next phase will be B.E.S.S. at Naval Submarine Base-New London Groton, CT Sub school. He is in the SECF program & if he gets through the suitablilty testing phase-he will move on up the pipeline & see where that takes him...He is doing well, whether he is able to do the Sub program or is reclassified-he'll succeed in whatever he does...He had tubes in his ears (disclosed) as a baby...it may/may not prove to be an issue depending on whether he''ll be able to successfully pressurize under the demands of submarines...I pray & believe that God has a plan for his journey called life...& it's all good...
Hi Worry,
My son "D" is also in div 906. I hear this is the staff division so he will be working the quarter deck and greeting and saluting officers as they enter the auditorium. Did anyone else hear about the body-snatchers. Ask you sailor, I thought it was pretty funny.

Our "D" gets to borrow leave too then he reports to SC early January for nukes. Everytime we talk to him he sounds better and better; more mature and focused. We are so proud of him. I heard they will find out Monday what they get - ET, EM, MM.
Has anyone heard anything about this div. My son doesn't write to me and I haven't talked to him since the day after Thanksgiving.

Hi G'sproudmom

Same here:(  We haven't heard anything since the day after Thanksgiving.  Are you sure we don't have the same son??? lol T sent one letter, then we got another!!!  When we picked ourselves off the floor, we read it.  But that was in the beginning. As they say no news is good news. Still like to know what 906 is up to.

Thanks Gaile I feel alot better. I know no news is good news. We only have 12 more days.

Are you going to the meet & greet?  Hope to see you there:)

Hi Gaile. Could you give me some more info about the meet & greet??? I haven't heard anything about it. (I'm sure it's prior to the grad, what time & where)?? I'd like to meet another navy mom :)
I was starting to get concerned too. We haven't heard from our son since the day after Thanksgiving too! He called today. (Ship 02  DIV 906) He sounded sick. He said he was getting better & that their ship caught some sort of flu bug. He had a fever for 2 days & coughing. He said that some are still pretty ill. He said hes staying focused PIR, counting down....only 12 days to go! He's excited, it's getting close & he is pushing through. He had photos taken today and.......he said he passed marksmanship as a sharp shooter. !!!! He is getting his ribbons :) He is one of two SR's in his DIV to receive that honor. I am soo proud. I could hear the excitement in his voice. I just pray that his fellow SR's get well soon. I asked about the gas chamber, I think he said they do that Mon. I asked about BS 21. He thought they were scheduled 12/20 but said he wasn't positive. ???? Anyone else hear from their SR? He didn't say any particular reason why he hadn't called, other than being really busy every min from 4 am til 10 pm..... My son will be in the honor guard during the graduation. Does anyone know how the whole process works??? I read something about this DIV greeting & saluting before the grad????

My S shot expert also.  He said there were only two that got this level and also were told no one shoots expert!!  Tell your son "way to go"!
