I was so happy to finally be able to send all my letters today!!! I also booked my flights and everything today- they are refundable on southwest so figured should get it all done!! It actually made it seem not so far away!!
So today was a good day.... as for my phone call, I missed it and cryed for 2 days.. so I needed a good day today! Hope all is well with everyone!
I guess we can only hope for another call.....but I just try to wrtie my daughter twice a week,so she can know what's going on!!
Is it more expensive to book refundable tickets???
I have not checked into Airline prices yet, my Daughter-in-Law is handling the Airlines and I am handling the Hotel Reservations. I have heard that refundable tickets are more expensive. Ask one of the more knowledgeable Moms like Lydia, Lynne or Diane, if they don't know they will find out for us, they are great!
If you can fly Southwest- they let you change them and just pay the difference of the flight. I fly for work all the time and I had a free ticket and some credit so it cost me $100 for 2 tickets. I know- not fair!!! They were having a sale too- and they are a seperate website- you can't see their prices on expedia- so look at both. I also reserved the car through Dollar Rental and it was only $33 per day for full size. Remember it could be snow so I wouldn't get a small compact car. - just a thought :)
PreciousMom - yes Refundable tickets are much more expensive. So Id wait for a few more weeks. That is just my opinion. I did hear about the sale that navymom is talking about -- might look into that but still you have time!
Hello Ladies of Div. 038. Anybody get any letters today or yesterday? I haven't gotten a real letter yet, just the form letter. Did get a short call yesterday though, he needed additional info faxed to him and you could tell he had someone over him, no chit chat all business but at least heard his voice.
I really enjoy getting to check in and see how everyone is doing, it helps me feel in touch even when I'm not. Was really hoping for some mail this week but didn't see anything yet. Maybe we will get lucky and get another phone call tomorrow. : )
Hey Julie, I am sooo hoping for a letter as well. I'm not very good at the hurry up & wait mentality but I am doing my best to be patient. We share all our info for all the Divisions in our PIR group so it really helps to keep up with whats going on with our kids. Hope you have a good day an d here's hoping for phone calls this weekend.
