Thanks LoLo...my "E" said the exact same thing about the Marching...said "they cant march worth sh*t :), and he doesn't get it either!
Also said the same about socializing at night (was the worst, can't Study/concentrate)...hence, the 'quietness' of the laundry room was welcomed. He also mentioned pictures might be this week, and he didn't know if they could pick which uniform to be taken in or if they could switch and use two different uniforms...."Anti M" your thoughts??" He did want to pass the word too, that they have been told to tell people coming in for PIR that Traffic in that part of Chicago and around the base is horrible, a drive that should take 5-10 minutes takes 45 etc...and to allow for extra time for parking at the Base, as some cars get stopped and searched (Random), and if people don't have the appropriate paperwork to park...the line gets backed up! Base opens at 6:30, graduation (March in) starts around 9:30, plan accordingly to arrive earlier. Also, Div 024 has been told they will March in Last for PIR, if that helps with planning on "where you want to sit" but he didn't know if this would change.

Have a great day! Looking forward to the update on Friday LoLo!!

Cindy
P.S.....they do have to do 8 counts to receive their Mail !
Cindy - thanks for the PIR tid bits - very helpful! We plan to arrive as early as we can as my mom is handicapped and I have my SR's GF that isn't on the "list" to get in. Getting 5 people out the door for the early arrival, especially my mom will be a challenge. Lori
No problem LoLo! My heart goes out to you and prayers that you will have the help and strength you need to get you out the door and make it on time :)! If I can help in anyway...I am just down the road :) !
Praying for safe travels to base on Thanksgiving to those that are traveling there...MN is getting hit with a severe Winter Storm Warning tomorrow and Thursday, so for now glad I am staying put. THIS BETTER NOT HIT again on the 16th!!
All of you that are lucky and blessed to hug your SR this Thanksgiving at Boot Camp...perhaps they could pass on a "Happy Birthday" to "THE LAUNDRY GUY" on the 26th please :). Thank you...missing him tons!!!!

Cindy
Cindy - thank you for the heart felt prayer and well wishes; I am packing and checking my list! We are so very excited to the awesome opportunity. I will so try and remember to tell A to tell the Laundry guy a very happy birthday from his mom! I know you are missing him. I really can hardly to believe how blessed we are. I will certainly report back on any key learnings and will post a picture to my Page. Happy Thanksgiving! Burn a blue candle for your SR.
Dear Cindy,
I will def. tell "R" to wish happy b'day to "The Laundry Guy" on the 26th. And I will tell him that R's mom said Happy Birthday and thanks for doing my son's laundry - - that is one job I am happy to have lost!
I am praying that the weather will be nice to us - - we have a 13-hour road trip - - should be interesting! I guess we will really get to know my son's girlfriend after this trip!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Thanks guys, I appreciate it more than words can express! I am burning my Blue Candle every day, I even bought one of those battery operated T-lights to put inside of a "blue" glass candle jar to have on my desk :) at work...over board, I think not :)!!
Look forward to the Pictures Lori...Have fun for all of us that can't be there :)!!! Safe travels you guys!!!

Hugs, and Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

Cindy
I am thankful for the VFW in Chicago that Adopted my Sailor Recruit from Boot Camp today and treated him to a fine Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings AND the New Hairy Potter movie for Thanksgiving!!!! He also got to call home to share that...he had a good day! And we got to wish him A HAPPY BIRTHDAY for Tomorrow! Give thanks to all the service people who fight for our freedom! LAND OF THE FREE...BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE!!

Cindy
Hey Cindy: I sent birthday wishes to your SR through my SR; believe it or not StewFam a.k.a. Maureen and I were in line to pick up our SR's at the RTC Visitor's Center right next to each other. Can you imagine our surprise when we discovered we were N4M DIV pals! It was a pretty special Thanksgiving - one I'll never forget. I'm glad your SR was adopted by the VFW - I expect it was a memorable holiday and they really treated them special didn't they. Did you see the video clip of the VFW Adopt-A-Sailor event - I think there is on on the RTC FB page. Maybe you will catch a glimps of him. How cool. I hope you are doing o.k. today on his birthday without him. Thinking of you!
