Good Morning 038 Moms. Don't for get to have your phones on you today or be near your phone if at home. If they passed the Inspection Wednesday they are supposed to get a long phone call today. HOOYAH
I am praying!!! Hope that we all get phone calls today! I finally got a letter yesterday - short and sweet but that div 038 was awesome!! And that he hates the yelling! He said his feet hurt but he is doing ok. So glad that you all are getting more info- nice to know what is going on.
Have a wonderful day!
I am walking around with my phone glued to my hand today as I am sure you all are. I cant wait! I got 2 VERY short letters yesterday and he sounded really good. Said he had found the advice given by his dad, uncle and grandad of "pay attention to detail" the best advice ever. lol He really didnt give a lot of info tho so it is nice when I can fill in blanks with the info I get from all the wonderful mothers, wives and girlfriends on this site...it really has been a comforting blessing. I am looking forward to seeing what everyone has to say if we get our phone call today. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving I know it was hard and for myself Im kinda 'thankfull" that it is over because that is one more day closer :)
Ladies of Division 038 - We have spent all day waiting anxiously by our phones, and yet no calls. I'm guessing by now since it is 7:43 @ Great Lakes that we probably aren't going to get calls. This may mean they didn't pass Inspection Wednesday. As broken hearted as we are imagine how our recruits must feel. The worst part is they have probably known since Wednesday they weren't going to get to call and had no way to let us know so that we would not spend today in agony by our phones. Prayers for them because if this is the case I know they are more heartbroken than we are. They probably feel they let us down as well as themselves. .
Yall hang in there!! Those calls will come... but only a few. However, letters should start flowing better now!
I want to thank you ladies for adding your news, questions, and info in the PIR site too! I appreciate it soo much! Yall are one big familyswith LOTS of kids! And you may never know who might be wondering about something that you will have the insite or answer or calming touch that will help them unless you are there. Remember, as you recruites are learning to work together as a Team - you all in the 01-07-2011 are a Team here to help and love each other and each others recruits!
Good Afternoon Ladies of Division 038. Word is that we may get phone calls tomorrow (Thursday) so be ready. Also if you are in charge of keeping an eye on your recruits $ to pay bills or anything, my son's hit his bank account today. Keep those letters and prayers going. GO DIVISION 038 HOOYAH!!!
Happy Thursday Ladies of Division 038!! Keep those phones handy, we are supposed to get phone calls today. I am definitely ready to talk to my recruit, it's been 4 weeks since i've heard his voice. He called his Wife in the first 10 minute call they had a couple of weeks ago. But that's the way it should be... Wives come first when they get married, letting go and taking a back seat in their life doesn't come easy!!!
My fingers are crossed!!! I haven't talked to my son either- I missed his call :(
I am dying to get a phone call...I have a million questions and want to hear his voice...I can't stand it I am so impatient : ) I bet I have picked my phone up 20 xs ... Just to make sure its workin lol
Julie- did you get the message I sent you yesterday? I am sitting here with my phone in my hand afraid to move, lol. I made myself a list of questions I want to ask him because I know as soon as I hear his voice I will forget everything I want to know lol.
HOOYAH Got off the phone with my son a few minutes ago. The knee is good, PRAISE THE LORD. He had all 4 wisdom teeth taken out Monday but is doing great. He said they are on Week 2 Day 5. For those of you trying to keep up with the week/day system he informed me Saturdays & Sundays don't count. So tomorrow will be Week 3 Day 1, Monday will be Week 3 Day 2. They get their second haircut tomorrow and have been measured for their Dress Uniforms, gearing up for Photo Day. He passed the Swim Test and made the run in the allotted time on their 1st PFA Test which they did this week. They won their 1st Flag today not sure what is was for. He only had 20 minutes to talk which he split between his Wife, his Dad and I (and of course I was last) so all at once he said "I gotta go, love you mom" and poof he was gone. I am on top of the world at just hearing his voice!!! .
