OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Has your recruit had any requests for snacks, food, electronics from home for PIR.? Let's see how funny some of their requests can be.

My son has asked me to bring him watermelon and Twizzlers licorice.

I will also bring Cheez Its, YooHoo Drink and some homemade cookies.

Don't forget to bring comfortable clothes and tennis shoes.  I am also bringing a winter jacket for him in case he is allowed to wear civilian clothes while in IL.

D requested snickers, Monster, and "any type of fast food". I guess he's not going to be picky:)
Hi..my son made a request of McDonald's, I told him he was in luck there is a Mickey D's right next to our hotel...haha
H wants her Starbucks card.
She's such a girl. lol
She said she is relying a lot on coffee and the coffee there sucks. She was never a big coffee drinker
My boyfriend has only requested for me, me and me in nearly every letter. Though deep down I think he also wants butterfingers and a burger. :D hahaha

I am making a box of snacks for him on our flight home for Christmas, so this has been very helpful. ^_^
Ryan told me he got to but oatmeal cream pies and sour patch kids on Thanksgiving !!! Those are his favorites along with iced tea and oreos!!! I will be taking him his baby (the laptop). The only thing so far that he actually requested was that he and a few shipmates would like to go see Tron before we head home to Cleveland :) He wont need any clothes as he has to travel home in his unirm but once he is home he can wear his own clothes.
